oh wait, that was your wife who has the job, and you worked for her daddy a little here and there.
and im the hypocrit
no one is making that person work for this man just like no one made this man open his own business.
yup, just like no one is making anyone work for poverty-level wages at walmert and mcd..but people still do..hmmm..i wonder why that is?
Instead of a rhetorical question why not explain why you think they work there?
UB, why are you fighting with the burger flippers?
dude, don't even get me started..
let me engage you on a level you may understand: chain email
my boss pulled in to work today in his awesome new car and i complimented him on it.
he said "well, if you set goals, work real hard, you're really determined, and put in long hours, i can get an even nicer one next year"
I believe profits are before taxes
Being the son of a man who owned his own business for 30 years, I know that there are taxes you don't even know exists when you run a business. By the time state, local, and federal are added up, it is over half of your profits. That is bullshit.
We spent so much time just paying taxes. We have to send in payroll taxes every two weeks, there is a large form to fill out.
We have to pay monthly taxes to several different places, each with it's own form and different place.
When I went to law school, I quit working for my dad. My dads partner decided to fire the CPA I had hired to help with all of this. He could do it himself, he said.
Well, he fucked up and after about 2 years we ended up owing the IRS about $80k. You'd think you could just send in a check and all would be well. Nope.
The IRS gave us two options. Close the shop and pay the $80k, or if you want to keep the doors open, it was close to $400k.
My dad and his partner were both getting old, they decided to close the shop.
The IRS, in a down economy, forced the closure of a successful business, which caused nearly 20 people to lose good paying jobs. Our lowest paid employee was $12/hr I think, and we had a guy that got over $30/hr.
That's our government at work.
oh, you mow lawns then. wooops. my bad.
i do enjoy yard work and wouldnt mind starting another business someday. companies around here doing lawn care make good money and are never short of help.
but between the existing business, and managing our rentals and everything else, maybe you should take the innitiative and open up your own business. lawn care is actually one of the easiest businesses to start. truck, mower, shears and a shovel, most people have a yard of some kind, easy market.
or just waste away on your dope forum postings. let me know how far that gets you in life

how about EVERYONE chip in a flat 10% to the kitty starting at 300% of poverty level and just STFU already?
Everyone knows the IRS is a bunch of black booted corrupt bullies, especially under the Obama administration. They are STILL targeting conservative groups such as the Tea Party.
