It can be but not always. It's a guessing game at this point. Try playing around with lowering the nute level. Any leaf spots or droopy leaves?

I have some small rust like spots on one of the plants very minimal.
Also they all have very slight
Like 1/8th of an inch
yellowing/browning upward curling of leaf tips.

Your probbly at the right level then. Right on the edge. Are the leaves still shiney?

Yeah I would say the majority of them are shiney.
Also I think this is normal, they are dropping alot of the leaves beneath where the main colas start.

Yes that is normal for leaf drop throughout flower. Roseman is doing a little experiment to stop that by adding just a bit more N (grow) to his mix but it happens to me every grow to no bad effect. Think it's the plants way of getting some light below the canopy.

It is just a closet full of pot!
There are two runts in there that are 12 to 18 inches tall and only will have one bud the size of my little finger at best. I ought to remove them, they do not get any light, yet they are healthy looking.

On my tank that I added alot more VEG nutes to, (Nitrogen) the buds are stretching much taller and the stems of the buds are stretching taller and I have some wierd side-ways out-growths, like baby branches, growing out of the buds. They look like stems with baby buds on them, like new baby skinny new buds, and they look very wierd. Also the leaves are not jaggered along the sides, but have smooth edges. They are just freaky looking buds. hat extra nitrogen makes them do freaky things.
My bucket and one tank to the right has normal looking buds nearing ripeness.

I have a skinny bud 18 inches long and stretched like I have never ever seen before.
I mean they are freaky deformed looking buds.

The mylar is 50 inches wide and is level or even with the side of the lid on the tank. That stretched bud is the top of a plant OVER 52 to 54 inches tall.

The bud to the left, directly under the bulb, suddenly grew a Y shape stem with flowers on it, going in two different directions at the same time.
It is a strange deformalty.

These are some of the normal buds.

This pic shows the undergrowth. It is very thick and I never see or pick up one dead leaf since I started adding extra nitrogen. The bottom growth thickens instead of diminishing.
A week ago I started adding 1/6 dose of VEG Nutes every other day to the bucket and the other tank.
I did not mean to experiment with this grow, but I had to try the extra nitrogen.
A grower I admire named Uncle Ben taught me by showing me a lot of proof and evidence that instead of trying to have a lot of buds and flowers by going to a large dose of highly concentrated Phosphorous Nutes, to try and have a very healthy and happy plant by promoting its gorwth with some additional Nitrogen.

I'd say today, Saturday, would be a great day to harvest them! The trichs look amber to me.

Roseman what an amazing closet! theres no more room for any more pot in there lol Man I cant even begin to think of how muc you will yield off those monsters! Congratulations and thanks for all the knowledge and info you share with us all!

They just eat so much, or so little of the Phosphorus. You might want to experiment with a very slight dose of Nitrogen (VEG NUTES) .

So what exactly does adding a little bit of veg nutes do for the plants? does it just help them stay healthier. I read on the label of my nutes that you shouldn't mix flower and grow. By adding grow during the flower phase does that make it grow extra branches as it would if it were still vegging. But at the same time the buds are still growing.

Well, "they say" it is a NO No! But I read a thread by Uncle Ben, who says it is crazy to use ALL Phosphorus in Blooming. Then I read where ADVANCED NUTRIENTS have added extra nitrogen, so I tried it. I tried it on one tank and got such great results, I use it in all three now.

First thing I notices was the smell came back stronger.

Then All the lower leaves Quit yellowing and falling off, now they are making food for the buds. NO LOWER LEAVES ARE FALLING OFF like "they say" is normal and natural. NOT ONE LEAF!

The buds started growing more leaves in them, then the buds started growing side stems with more flowers on them.

Here's Some back up to what roseman is talking about....

2 months back I started to flower this plant and cut of the grow nutes, now she looks like this.....



lots of leaf drop and such, not bad, but it doesn't look healthy.

after all the activity i'd seen about nutes on the forums I followed some friendly advice given by some of the more experienced growers here about nute ratios.

and here is my latest plant 4 weeks into flowering....



nice healthy green leaves, and explosive growth!!





this plant literally tripled in size, to my surprise!!

hey roseman yeah i was gonna do it today but had a thanksgiving dinner today she doesnt look as full like at the top or is that normal but i will probably just harvest i got 3 ladies in flowering in early stage so i need the room

So I did some overhauling and bought some buckets. Also will be pickin up a new phone here soon so no more links soon!
