Personally, I love the smaller trays. That solves several problems for me. I don't germinate 50 seeds at once and I used the bigger root riot trays. Yesterday I bought an ez cloner, and I bought a clip board, paper and pen to keep with it and I will use you map method for that.
Love the EZ-Cloner! As bowlfull said above, add some ice to the water periodically as the water will get a little warm. You'll have roots forming inside of a week, and by the end of two weeks they'll be 6-8 inches long. I put some clonex rooting gel on the cutting when it goes in, but other than that I don't do anything special. I root with at least a 95% success rate. I've had mine for a few years, and it still runs like a top. The only problem I've ever had is the sprayers can get a little gummed up (maybe due to my cities water), so I clean them periodically with a little vinegar. I'm sure you'll love it!

I actually read the directions that came with it, probably cuz it was only one paper. I bought the nutrient solution for the water, but I assumed I wouldn't need the gel too. I saw it said to still put it in the gel.
Those misters are at the grow shop cheap as hell. Maybe I will change them out every year so I don't ever have a problem with them. It's been running for several hours, I'll do check the water temp and add some ice. Thanks.

My water was 84. That sucks. I bought the fucker cuz I hate continuously spraying the lid of the cheap ones. Now I have to add ice to this thing three times a day. It said some come with heaters, WTF is that for making soup. lol. Or in case I need to make clones in my ice shanty? lol. What would a cloner cost that you can just set the temp and leave it alone.

I start with room temperature water, and I add a 2 quart jug of ice once a day for the first 3 days, then leave it alone. Seems to work like a charm for me.

pfft.. homemade aero cloner <50 dollars -pump, pvc, emitters, aquarium heater, neoprene inserts, aluminum tape. done.

works great! ph'd water and i don't buy that 20 dollar crazy clonex anymore. or the solution... the 5 dollar powder has been working just as well and for a lot less cost.

That sounds like a plan stow. Thank You.
Do you need to drain water to maintain proper level or do you start with a low level cuz you know you are gonna be adding ice over the next three days?

I fill it up to about an inch below the sprayer nozzles to start. You will not need to drain or add any water as the water will dissipate, and adding the ice makes up for that.

Just check to make sure that your nozzles are not submersed in water when you add the ice .... and be sure to turn it off when you lift the lid. I know that's stating the obvious, but if you're anything like me after smoking a bowl or two (air head) you will give yourself a little shower if you forget! :-)

lmao. I am pretty lit and it literally took me three attempts before I started laughing at myself and unplugged it. That is pretty funny shit right there. I opened it and shit sprayed all over me, then I lifted out a insert and went to dip the ph tester cap down in there and that isn't even about to happen. lol.
Anyway I bought a $300 one, opposed to making one - strictly for the appearance of it looking cool. It looks more professional. I am all for homemade shit, but I've lived in the UP for seven years and they take that shit to a whole new level. lol. At the bridge the flag is a busch lite 30 pack box and a roll of duct tape.

I have the same problem with my 30 site instead of constantly adding ice I set the pump on a timer... 5mins on 15 off seems to do the trick

I don't like that idea though. My timers are fifteen minutes for one thing, but I don't want to slow that shit down at all. I better get some ice down there though while we are talking about it.

Good morning everyone,

I do it the old fashioned way. So uncomplicated, not better just old fashioned.

My preacher's wife is very ill (breast cancer) I'd like to make a type of Rick Simpson Oil, instead of using naphtha or iso alcohol I'd like to use Everclear liquor. Do they sell it in Michigan? If not, does Ohio or Indiana have it?

If you've made it do you have any hints? It's my first batch and my bff will be using it too for skin cancer.

Suggestions?

I tried to stay up with the big dogs last night and only made it to the 11 o'clock news. The old person inside must be trying to escape and take over my ability to hang.

When I was a kid we could get MD 20/20 or Boones Farm. I still can't stand the smell of Boones Farm. I think that's because it came out of my nose once.
