The best thing I was ever made aware of was that you don’t need to water near as often as you think. I had to read high times to learn back in my youth. And growing has changed drastically since then. But the water rule still stands.

When in doubt. Wait it out. For harvest, for diagnosing plant problems, Etc. Better to wait and be sure than make a hasty decision Thats irreversible

after learning how to water appropriately , an automated system for watering will increase yields due to not forgetting to water on time

The health department hands out paperbags full in my area

When I was using condoms things were not quite so liberal. Shit it was easier and less humiliating to buy a 'lid' (oh shit now I am aging myself ) back in those days.

First time I ever had to buy away from home was 1968. Stationed at Camp Pendleton. Obviously looked like a Marine. Hippies walking up and down Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach offering each other grass/acid/mescaline or whatever. Until I’d get near. Total silence.

If they're sucking up that much water then you did a good job of not overwatering them earlier on.
