The 12/12 From Seed Club, Show off Your Girls

if you start 12/12 from seed wont your plants be small? what type of hight would i be looking at befor flower? or would the plant be flowering the whole time its growing? im sorry if these questions are stupid to yall but this starting 12/12 from seed is a whole new world to me! oh can i use cfl`s for this?

it depends on strain, light, grower. ect the list is long.

this is my plant at 52"+

From the day the break the surface of the soil the light is set to 12/12. It stays on 12/12 for the whole grow.

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. I'll ask stupid stuff when i'm stoned. MrsRocket might even say all mine are ifey.

Yes you can, it will just make you plants a little smaller. Check the others that post here. I've seen nice cfl grow. My next grow will be a cfl.

I am a firm beliver in 24 hours on for veggging and starting plants. Found faster better growth then 18/6 and unless I wanted midget plants I would never start on a 12/12 cycle

can i see just before harvest 12/12 from seed? anyone got some pics? i just started a 12/12 from seed to harvest today, paradise white berry femmed. never done it before. thx

thats damn good for 12/12, i cant wait for my little girl to start budding, thats my favorite part, waking up each day to new growth.

how much bigger would it get in something larger then a gallon pot?

me in soil I use nothing less then 5 gallons but personally I think less then 3 by flower is too small for any plant over a foot It binds the roots and makes the yield smaller as you can see how thin your colas are. Bigger pot would double thier size

Dude needs to look at those pictures, those are huge 12/12 plants, and if they get bigger it doesn't look like there is even room!

I wouldn't call this a small cola...grown in a 1 liter pot...


Its fun seeing what you can do with the smaller pots and having smaller, non branchy plants is the point. Colas are my favorite buds on the plant, I like just growing a bunch of them.. Easier to trim as well. I'm lazy

Ive got a 1000watt HPS and a 20lb co2 tank to go along with it...im really interested in doing 12/12 from clone to harvest. I want to do 15 plants and harvest every 60-70 days...but on the other hand ive got people telling me just to veg and flower normally, and some people saying just do a dwc setup...

so..would it be worth it to do the 15 plants in 2-3 gallon pots under 12/12 for 7- days?

It all depends on what you want the end results to be. Pick a decent strain with a good amount of sativa and you'll be alright. The last two plants i harvested were an ak47 x nycd cross and each yielded near an ounce dry. I think that 15 of those would be well worth it..

The minute you mention 12/12 from seed on these forums your in for a lot of bashing/negativity/told it wont work etc, etc. I have about 20 plants going in 32oz pots and room for more. Once you dial in your strain on this type of growing it will be well worth it in my opinion.

If your aren't convinced grow a couple in big pots, veg them etc like normal and then when your on 12/12 throw in some that are 12/12 from seed and see what happens. That way you get the best of both styles.


Think of it as 15 colas.


I can promise you this. The results will be far better than you think they will be.

I've been getting mixed message basically. everyones saying i should and that i shouldnt. this is my first indoor grow, and as of right now im tired of smoking the grass clumped up underneath the lawnmower and paying out the ass for it hahah. I've got 3 beans that just got done germinating, and on the june 13th i'll be going home and picking up some clones from a friend of mine. Mazar kush, Kali mist, and aurora indica. two of each. I might stay away from the aurora though since i want to do 12/12 from clone to finish.

I've also got this 20lb co2 tank, and im hoping that will increase the size of my harvest tremendously.
any thoughts?

I'd save the co2 for your second grow.

i JUST started a Super Silver Haze seed straight to 12/12 (in soil now.. home made DWC in a week or 2) just a lil sprout right now

im also doing Arjans Strawberry Haze (LSTing that one) and Hawaiian Snow (topping) but those arent going straight to 12/12 i like to try different things

why do you say that?

My only thoughts are try it out and let us know how it works. I don't have co2 and probably wont for a long time, but i'd be interested in hearing your results. We have to prove the naysayers wrong. There is no single right way to do this. The right way is the way that works for you!
