Hey guys just got my PPM meter today and was wondering how I could test the PPM of my soil without using runoff water?

See that's exactly my dilemma I'm trying to find out what the PPM is already without needing to test the runoff water because I just watered the other day and did not want to water them again and risk over watering them just to find out what the ppm is.
