Work pays for my vehicle even though I don’t go anywhere lol.you can walk anywhere and get rid of the expense of a car.
I totally agree with you there. I was exposed to tb on a jam packed commuter bus into Seattle.I think the after effects of the pandemic will impact public transit. I would hesitate to take any mass transportation if there are single vehicles available. People will be hesitant to get locked into a sealed tube with a bunch of potentially infectious super spreaders.......Taxi please
those things go in the snow, too.
Probably not lol.those things go in the snow, too.
Good point. So, how about this. Use the Tesla to tow the motor home and get better mileage than the motor home does all by itself!!!No, you couldn't. The added load would kill the batteries in less than 75 miles. You'd not be able to tow one long enough to charge it. They'd both wind up dead on the side of the road.
how long have you lived in snow country, sky?those things go in the snow, too.
Or how bout use the motor home genny to charge the Tesla while it’s towing the motor home? All the while sleeping in the motor home .Good point. So, how about this. Use the Tesla to tow the motor home and get better mileage than the motor home does all by itself!!!
Brilliant
Back in 1987, I built a '72 Super Beetle with a super charged 327 Chevy V8 in it. Had a chopped Ford 9 inch rear end in it with Chrysler 500 coil springs all around on Monroe shocks. I had to louver the entire hood for cooling. People thought it was the coolest little bug they'd ever seen until I started it up.I had a mid 70's red VW super beetle, velour seats, 1600cc fuel injected engine
Apples and oranges here, but. . . . . airliners use 72 times as much fuel per person as trains. The EU are stopping all flights of two hours and less. Their thinking is the train will be as fast or faster than flying. Plus the whole saving the world thing. Are high speed trains energy efficient? . . . . . . . .

a good way to use up old ev car batteries........win/winIn that deal, Tesla is using Panasonic solar panels (Tesla's never worked) and Tesla battery systems.
It's presently ranked 12th best on the market.
Not to mention 12th seems pretty good but I was/am a “if I pass I’m good” kind of guy lol.a good way to use up old ev car batteries........win/win
There are many ways to do solar energy other than PV, like solar thermal and photosynthesis, both of which can store energy. Batteries and mechanical storage are an option for PV though, energy storage technologies are gonna be essential for solar, wind, wave and tidal power. I expect batteries will begin to eclipse other energy storage methods over the next decade as new technologies come on stream and demand for EV's and grid storage grows. Electrical storage is the key to a green grid. For the tech challenged who still believe that solar is too expensive:

Solar increasingly beating even cheapest fossil fuels on price, IRENA study finds
The amount of renewable energy that came in cheaper than the most competitive fossil fuel option doubled last year, according to new analysis from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).www.pv-tech.org
That would be "beating even cheapest fossil fuels" before factoring the cost of capturing the carbon or paying for the environmental damage in some other way.
Nuclear sucks too, BTW.
