Tent vents

Hi all,
So I’ve assembled my first tent this evening to get an idea in size and placement etc.
its pretty big but I know I’ll be able to jump inside and zip up while I’m doing stuff which will hopefully help with the smell getting out
anyway I notice there are a few big holes with cords to tighten and also a couple of little ones.
Im assuming the little ones are for power and big for ducting.
query is, is there any reason for me not to use the big ones for power as my plugs are to the right and the little vents are on the left and back.
I suppose this isa stupid question but thought I’d throw it out there just incase befor I start installing the gear

Figure out where you will be venting to outside the building first.
Address that and set it up accordingly.
Cords can be rerouted more easily w extension cords.
Exhaust venting is the priority for a good environment.

Would the little vent be ok for intake if I just leave that open as I’ve only got an extraction fan. It’s on the bottom left side near the door, and I plan to vent out of the large vent on the roof is towards the rear right. Not sure as it’s obviously a small one but it’s pretty much the opposite side to exit vent.
also when am I supposed to use the mesh vents at the bottom of the sides which are currently covered with a Velcro’d flap?

Exhaust fan in either 4" or 6". The draw cords are for sealing against the duct.

The Velcro flap covered vent. Stays open. For a 4" fan, you need a 8"X8" intake vent. 6" is the full flap open.

What size tent?

Be careful when running power cords with ducting. Sometimes it will allow light inside during the dark period.

Also be careful leaving the flaps open if the room has any chance of lights on during the tents lights out times.

If you don't install a carbon filter and exhaust fan you will create the perfect environment for past like mites
And no zipping it shut while you are in it is not going to guard against smell either
Spend some cash before you waste six months buy a fan and filter

4x4 tent
Sorry I wasn’t planning on running the cables through the same one as the ducting.
That’s what I thought so was unsure if I should use them but obviously want to make sure I have enough air coming

I have a 6” exhaust fan and filter?
