Taking cuttings during flower

Fun experiment, my question is has anyone done this and does the reveg act differently? What kind of growth can I expect? Will these flowers just remain the same? Fall off? Haha I took a few cuttings the first week of flower. I scrapped the bottoms and thru them all into a glass of water and back under 24 hour of light. About 21 days later I started getting signs of root. When I took the cuttings there was hardly any hairs or sign of flower but the first 7 days under 24 hours they popped tons of hairs. Around day 14 it stopped flowering I’d say. I’m excited to see how there grow. I enjoy this more and more. So fun and exciting!

Also I think I scrapped way too deep. All signs of early root are above scrape area. Orrrr it’s just a sign that you don’t have to scrape at all???

This is called monster cropping. Generally less successful rates than regular veg cloning, but successful nonetheless. You dont need to scrape, they will look deformed as they start revegging then fill out even more.

Hi, I did something similar, I cut the little runty bits at the base of my mature plants when they were in flower , but I simply pushed them into soil in the same pot (Batmix) just a wee experiment , but I like the sound of that , getting a clone from a flowering plant and continuing the plants life on, a bit like cannabis sourdoughing

Did they take?

They seem to be ok, wasn’t going to pursue it , but since they are still alive I’m just leaving them. Came of a ten week old plant‍♂️

Yes, taking cuttings on flowering plants is fine, but really takes time for reveg. The internodes are crazy

These in the flower room are from seed. They are from Brothers Grimm
Durban Thai x Cinderella 99. First seeds I’ve run since 1990. Coming down this weekend
71 days . Tried a new organic formula, plants struggling the last couple of weeks, (fading) need to adjust next run

Pink Kush that just started revegging. They need a fair bit of time to stop being stupid and make 5 point leaves instead of 3 point leaves. I usually flip my clones immediately out of the cloner. But on a reveg they stay super tiny. They reflower right away but were tiny mini looking plants. Lol. Where as a normal clone will stretch like normal and so it's thing.

All great answers. I always cloned from flowering plants. I really like to grab them at 2-3 weeks in. Clones can get weird. Single leaf growth. Stalled growth followed by the new vegetative growth coming of the bottom of clones or weird stuff.
It’s a space and plant count thing for me. No mother’s laying around. Just grab the cuts right after pre flower stretch and go. With perfect timing I can have a set of clones ready to flower (2 weeks cloning, and 2-3 week veg) the day of harvest.

I don't know what I did to mine. The node spacing is next to nothing. I don't have to crop but rather thin out the leaves.
