I have been super busy lately, but here is an update now that things have settled a little.

I was just told thursday or friday for my AT660(we will see). I think I will put it over the jilly's till my next run and I can use it from the get go. The jilly's would really appreciate finishing under the new chips.

You got it now man. Post around, ask some questions and you'll get the flow. I remember both you guys, good to see you. There are plenty of other cool led people on here too, not to many apache though...not yet. But plenty of cool energy efficient grows and DIY's to entertain your electrician mind.
 
Everything is looking awesome in both rooms. Glad to see the burned buds make a pretty nice recovery. What do you have in store for the empty hps side???
 
The Big Lemons came out so good. Smell is super intense. Not that much lemon though...has some sweet afghani/kush funk to it. And a super silver appearance, kind of like a good blue dream. Haven't trimmed yet so not sure on yield, but looks/has looked about medium, not bad but not huge. Quality is off the charts.

Glad you asked. I purged my genetics after the BBS and mites, so I had to get new stuff. I got the AOS and jilly but only enough for my flower room. Clones are expensive and PG doesn't really do them anymore. Anyway, I was gifted a cookie cut from a trusted source and it should be good. I really don't like cookies but it is all I or anyone really had at the time. PG saw the flowers but I never have. Should be good and more like a lighter cherry pie from the way he described it. Not sure which cut i technically is, but seems like a good whatever. I have been shaping/training them for a little bit now in 1g's.

I only want to fill one 4x4 corner with the cookies, the yield sucks not matter the cut and I don't want to waste space on it. When the AOS/Jilly are done just fill the rest of the whole big rom with one strain. Not sure on what strain though.
 
The 660 is going to be a little. He made the 660 because I have been telling/bitching/showing him that a bigger panel to equally cover a 1000w is necessary and has a place in the market. I have had plenty of designs that will, based on the math, cover a 4x4 pretty fucking even across the whole thing. He couldn't do what I wanted, but with what was available we designed the 660 as it is now...4 units in 1. Not my perfect design but dominates a 4x4 like it should. He made a bunch of basically prototype and to him, he thought it would be like a beta test while the production got finalized. Well like I have been telling him everyone has gone nuts for it. Stanford bought all those proto's instantly. He had to not sell them all they wanted so he would have a tester and one for me. Those proto's were supposed to hold off the market till full production was ready. Basically they were gone before they were assembled and he is now behind again.

But the AT200 is ready and going. Nothing super new other than the chip and heat sink for them.

What I have been seeing in my garden and in the data from the par meter is that the lens too narrow focused, to totally benefit from the power of the new chips. at the normal height. Both light are performing and reading really well @24"+. At 36" the 660 is identical to a 1000w at center and 4x4, but does basically the same with a higher peak at 24". I think that a wider lens or would be able to capitalize the ability to run led's lower and get use the crazy peak numbers that the new AT's are capable of and still get that umol gain at the full coverage.
The best way to explain this for the 660 is...
@24" it does 1400umol center and 310umol at the 4x4(24"from center)
@36" it does 927umol center and 373umol at the 4x4(24"from center)
and 1000w digital hps(according to growershouse)
@24" it does ~880umol center and ~350 at the 4x4(24"from center)
But honestly I want to do it with a different meter. 2 random guys had their own par meters at the max yield show(1apogee, and 1fieldscout) and both were getting higher readings than AT's licore I was using.
With all that said I have recently learned some things about the AT lenses. The the 14 is actually a 28* and the 50 is 100*. I don't know why they are stated as 14 and 50 but it explained a lot. The new chip and the 50(100*) is pretty good and can run at dick high and still cover all the way. I think that new lenses will be the next step for AT.
 
I Hear Ya Brother Tags.Were Getting Closer But Not Quite Their Yet With Both Canopy Coverage And Light Penetration.I Do Agree That 100 Is To Wide And 28 To Narrow.Now I Wouldnt Fault Apache Tech For Saying That their Lens Were 14 And 50 Degree Angles When In Fact A 90 Degree Lens is Actually About 125 Degrees??I Know With My Area51 SGS's Leds That I Get A Great 32x24 Canopy Coverage With 18 Inches Of Great Light Penetration With Another 6-8 Inches of Good Penetration.I Also Know That Area51 Designed Their Own Lens Too :peace:
 
No fault...half full or half empty...you feel. AT designed his own too. But just like everything else, needs to be improved and evolve over time.

Exactly about main coverage and then a secondary "ok" coverage. That is why a tent really helps for edge coverage. and why I saw a decrease in performance when going bigger scale maybe.

If I was to make my own light I would use 24 cree xt-e's on a 48" long bar system like illumitex. Space on the bar and driven pretty 700ma. But put reflectors on like hans. Then link 12 bars together and it would cover a 4x4. Pricey as fuck for a DIY but it's a dream. It will cost me the same to make as just getting 660 that will work no question. But maybe one day I will spring for a crazy good DIY.

make the bars modular so you can add them one at a time to fill your grow space. A single bar is easier to manage than 4 of them ganged together.

Better discounts in bulk though. But even buying 300 for it all at once, it would still cost me an arm and leg to make it all. 2.15 when getting 300 on stars...that's $645 just for chips basically. Then a good amount of drivers and aluminum too. It's just a very expensive project and I am not ready for it yet.

Update time...Inda-gro big lemon room is looking good and moving alone. The AOS and Jilly's under Apaches are finishing up great. They are starting to do the finishing bulk and some resin push.

i like your setup, but honestly your wasting your time on apache lights. the buds look nice for sure, but your resin production is less the the indagro. i grew some dutch passion snow bud and shaman with Hygrogrowleds and the quality was phenomenal. my buds were only 1 month in flower and they were bigger then yours are at almost harvest. and i want you to know i am in now way dissing you bro, but everyone needs to stop wasting hard earned money on crappy leds. im not a spokes person for hydro grow im just telling the good truth about good leds. you have good potential dont limit that with bad instruments.

So what other panels have you ran in 12/12? And you still prefer HGL? What lineup gives you the support for those statements.

Can you tell Tags what is inside your light? What are your leds driven @?

What tells you that Hydro Grow LED's out performs Apache Tech, or any other company for that matter...

Seriously bro...Your a fucking tool. And I am dissing you. Don't ever come on my thread and talk about those piece's of shit units like that. They arrive up to customers and hydro stores broken all the time. The only reason they have any kick at all is cause they use a magnifying lens. The owners of HG's dumb ass got basically her/his(not sure what "it" technically is) whole design copied by the chinese. If I wanted a hydro grow(never will) I would go straight to the source...CHINA! I actually blame HG for all the junk resellers out there today.
Let me guess...you have a tiny little flower tent with a few plants in it...try going bigger scale and you will run into the same problems I have...coverage vs intensity.
I have the new units coming that actually cover the sapce I need them to. And every piece of my new lights is quality and will last longer than the warranty of 5 years.
