Switching to LED from HPS

People that use HPS are not stuck in the past. People that use HPS use what works.
Naw bro its burple for life. Hps is for old guys who cant get with the times. I just got a viperspectra for my first grow starting this winter, everything I read online says it's the best light.

Btw where can I get seeds? What strain is good?

We still dont know the perfect spectrum for photosynthesis and evidence points to this changing when intensity is altered.

Studies show green light to be the most usefull and absorbed when red and blue is present but the opposite when on its own.

You often here academic institutions state that ppfd and par are but a small part of the whole picture.

Trying to optimise the light spectrum has never worked, increasing the light spectrum has worked.

For one type of light many measures can give usefull ppfd comparisons but over two different types very little accuracy can be gained in relation to photosynthesis efficiency.

Ppfd should come with a disclaimer that it is by no means accurate, possibly we try to go to far in quantifying light and photosynthesis.

This is one of the mistakes leds have and still make, many years of ommiting spectrum for this false efficiency.

At the moment there is no answer back, pretty rude but i am picking on one of their main facts. Reps hate me as many dont grow and ppfd must seem like the golden ratio to them.

Now on the flip side i turn to hps and see that actually it has quite the range of spectrum, a lot of these ppfd considerations are reasonably satisfied. Who would have thought led growers with all their wisdom would actually do hps a favour here.

I have no idea why we hide from the facts, plant spectrum and light in part is a mystery even to the top academics, why act like we know somthing they dont.

Are you talking about blurples?
I'd hazard a guess that literally not a single soul knows what kingrow is talking about, including kingrow. Basically his detailed and educated understanding is beyond-est-er others. :) ;)

Back on topic tho, the apollo 8 is a amazing light, also try looking into the Mars hydro. And if it's totally unbranded, those are the real best-est-er-most lights per watt.

Have you heard of the majestic 12 420 growing light? Its not a burple unfortunately but it's still ok I guess... and only 1500$!!! What a steal of a deal! I think it's a 3000 watt fixture but can still plug into your outlet without blowing a fuse because led MaGiC.

Those "new members" are so fucking annoying.

Some LEDs, not all........
All and im not the only person saying it, ppfd is so flawed its easy to write this stuff even just copy and paste from most institutions.

You stick to ppfd and that narrow segment of light science if you want.

Kingrow1 does know what he is talking about, you see the led growers would like to say this failing lies only with blurple and that they straightened it out.

Let me explain that its still there screwing witth their results, why we have had so many generations of led lights and each one carried the now defunct claim they out grew hps.

Kingrow1 knows the science all too well, he writes it simply in case anyone wants to discuss any higher level than just failed ppfd lighgt talk. Jump on google its all there waiting for a brain to absorb.

You didn't want to discuss the science about the purpose of wind/air movement when that came up... I think this is just a empty bit you do.

Just admit led is the best, we all know hps is trash. Even you know hps is junk. Never was a good plant grown under hps. Ever. An you can take that as a history lesson.

One time I used hps in a sealed hood. Guess what happened? It blew up, glass everywhere. I didn't use a fan because fuck that. You know what does need fans? LEDs because they are way better. See how that works?

Led way more better than hps

Nobody is using blurples these days. If you hate LEDs because blurples suck, do you hate cars for not having seatbelts? Hate airplanes for using propellers and not jets, hate talking on the phone because you're tied to that rotary on the wall?
Full spectrum, white lights, rule the day. If that's not what you're talking about with led, you are arguing against neanderthal tech

I laid down what i thought the exact tolerances were for wind, discussion past that is futile unless you want to talk leaf heat budgets which is a pretty all encompassing subject that in detail deals with wind and boundary layer principle.

If your still using vpd and ppfd then im afraid it will seem like im talking trash because you have not learnt past this point, why my comment 'Do leaves die in still air' beat all your leaves need wind comments a while back that anyone can scroll and read as proof...
