You dont need co2. Should think about asking hubby to frame in a small area and line it with panda paper for them, or get a tent.

I like the burlap sacks, and want to find some of these for free somwhere for the veggie garden.

I'm able to locate the burlap sacks at Blain's farm & fleet for about 2.50 each.

I have a basement "bathroom" which I've lined the walls with two layers of plastic sheeting. 6 mm black and 4 mm white. It was more cost effective than purchasing panda film.

I need to line the ceiling next so that it retains everything in better. Essentially I've built myself a tent with a 2.5 x 2.5 x 7 flowering tent.

Why do you say that the CO2 isn't needed? I respect your input.

My area is approximately 10x17? I don't know I didn't actually measure it. And then I also have a separate bit where I'm able to section off into a drying area. I'm debating about lining it with panda film or painting. The walls are concrete.

Maybe I'll see about taking a video walkthrough and posting a YouTube. I don't know though.. any other ideas? I don't really want to post a video where everyone and their mama can see it

you dont need co2 becuase it wont help you in your environment. This is something you want to add once all of your other environment variables are perfect and is used mostly in flower

That is so cool to know! So CO2 most beneficial during the flowering phase.

As for my environment I know I could really use an exhaust fan. I just don't have that skill level. Am I missing anything else for environment? I'm guessing first things first is to put up that ceiling.

first things first. is you want to create a space for them to have a stable controlled environment. where temps dont get too high with lights on and dont drop too low with lights off. there should be like a 10 degree swing.

Plants will eat co2 and convert it to o2 during the day. They do this the most during peek flower when they are working hard to make buds as to be as attractive as possible for pollination. You also need the HIGH amounts of quality light to be able to take advantage of this. Unless you plan on upgrading your lights again, you wont need co2 for your grow.

You will need to find a balance of how much you exhaust if you choose to do so, since this will be taking humidity as well as heat away. you dont want crazy swings in temp and humidity all day. And if you exhaust away, you need somthing that also intakes air or you will build too much pressure.

Yay!! My lights have arrived. I am one happy gal.

Please be kind, I know it's currently situated way too high. My buddy put it up while I was away. He's coming over tomorrow to help put up the ceiling. I'll be using that plastic sheeting shit.

From there I'll be able to hang the lights. We'll be hanging so they will be adjustable. I also will be hoping to run an extension from a different outlet for the heater and dehumidifier.

I wasn't able to get over to farm & fleet pick up any burlap sack. I'll try to do that tomorrow. My goal will be to repot bell into a nice big burlap sack. I have to remember to sure that I plant these puppies at least two inches deeper. I'm noticing rooting formations along the base near the crown. Our babies just want to grow!

I brought the cooler into the room. I'm using it as a work table. A particularly like it because it is lightweight and has handles. It makes it so I can position it easier.

Question, are the undersides of the leaves more sensitive? What happens if I point a UV light underneath them for a bit. Assuming they don't fry because it's an LED.

While waiting for my ceiling, I decided to practice my sweetheart bends. The two plants in the shower, they are typically identical. I did the sweetheart bend on the plant on the right.

Ha ha. The TV was a compromise I worked out with my buddy. I wanted to obsess over my plants. Apparently not everyone feels the same way lol.

Thank you for the heads up on light height

All right, still haven't been able to get to the farm store. I did make some progress on the ceiling.

Slightly frustrated. My buddy was going on about how janky my setup is. That type of stuff pisses me off. I'm working with what I got. I'm trying to make everything so it's safe. I told him he was more than welcome to throw down and I could go get a professional.

Whatever. I know my s*** is fine. Meanwhile I still need to get my s*** done. He ended up going home. So I've been trying to do all this today by myself. I have really bad balance issues and I've been kind of dizzy. What the hell do you do when you don't really have any help? Feel like I'm all alone.

I'm really frustrated. I really thought I had helped to do this. But realistically I was asking for too much. My expectations were too high. That seems to be a common occurrence with me.

Whatever here's a picture. I'm going to smoke and go to bed.IMG_20200520_015851.jpg

Oh, let's cross our fingers. Someone on Facebook is selling a white bathroom vanity for like 15 bucks. I am hoping my buddy can go pick it up in his truck tomorrow AKA today. And then I can ask my hubby to install it.

I am such a fucking demanding woman.

Well I did go to school for interior design. I'm having a blast basically designing my own grow room in my basement. I mean how awesome is that. So many people can't do that. I am one of the fortunate ones. And I absolutely love gardening. I am being able to do so much more now that I can do it inside. Plus I can have my pots elevated so it's easier for me to do what I want to do. I'm enjoying the whole journaling aspect as well. You fuckers... Well you don't actually have to listen to me ramble. It's a choice lol.

Night night to whoever. And peace out my homies

What's up homies. That's been a crazy couple of days. Been working.

So here's what's been going on. Jesus has officially been switched to a 12:12 set. I took off the main tomato cage.
IMG_20200524_173828.jpg
I actually took off all of the tomato cages. They have served their purpose. It really did help spreading them all out evenly. Essentially growing a wider tree. Now that they have all learned how to grow that way, I took off all of the cages.

Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to purchase fishing sinks. from there I'm going to attach them to Christmas ornament hooks. That way I'll be able to hang them on each individual branch. And I can add weight as needed.

Also, I have stripped bell. I took off all of her fan leaves. I did leave one stem with a few fan leaves still intact. My thought process was so I can demonstrate the different growth patterns.

I've decided I'm going to rotate daily who gets the most care.

What do you guys think so far? I have high anxiety. Need words of affirmation.

Update on two of my ladies !!

I think it's week 1 or 2 of them being on flower. I've also been told you don't count the first week. I'm a little confused how do I share with others how far along I am in flowering?

Plus I realized that the fireplace that I've been using to heat the room, it has a red glow that you can't turn off. I didn't realize that had been going on this entire time. Jesus is sealed so unaffected. That might be why these girls aren't flowering as heavy? But they've also have been stretching. That confuses me even more.

If a plant is aged longer, are they less affected by minor light seepage? Or maybe the light was not in a visible spectrum.

Share with me your wisdom pretty please.

You start counting Flower the day you flip the lights to 12/12. It takes the plant a few days to adjust, but you should start seeing subtle changes in the first week.

Off rip the plants stretch for 2-3 weeks. Once they finish stretching you will see bud sites form and set. then you will see them get girth. you wont see 'heavy flowering' until after week 5

How bright is this fireplace, and is the light coming off it directly hitting your plants? Outdoors the moonlight does not stress a plant and deep red is okay with lights off, so you might be okay.

Goodness me I love you. Opening up other questions I didn't even think to ask.
It was fairly dim. The color equivalent of a cherry a on cigarette.

I don't get it. How can moonlight not stress a plant?

If I were to have a fire going, would that stress the plant outside? We like to have bonfires.

Ive never really looked into growing in the great outdoors, so i am pretty clueless. I do know that plants are cool with moonlight though, but i dont know the science behind it. Like if its just not bright enough, is not directly hitting the plants or if its just the spectrum of light.

I just know that you can shine red or green on plants while they sleep without disturbing them if you need to do some work in your rooms with lights off
