Here's my advantage as you call it... My dad left after knocking my mom up, and I was raised in a shack out behind my grandpa's church. My clinical coordinators have said to me that I'd be the first student they'd hire, and the older more Sr. employees have told me the same thing.. So, when I keep getting passed over, and they hire every young gal with nice tits, or a minority that stood around or left the room when a real trauma case came in, I think things may be a little fucked up.. Now diagnose that asshole..

Think of the people that are a lot worse off than you, you have money coming in through your wife's work, you have a home, food to eat and most importantly your health. Seems to me you have quite a lot to be thankful for. You have seen how hard life can be through your child hood so you should be able to appreciate how good you have it now. Something will come along regarding your work situation not every employer likes young girls with big tits, I think you are being a little negative on yourself all good things come to he who waits. Maybe you should stop and smell the roses…my dad, worked every day of his life, and then driving to an out of town job, at 78 years young, he and his wife stopped at an “all you can eat” place for breakfast… and he died in the buffet line… not the way to go…

Not even close.. The Sr. Employees in the department, and the lead in the department, are trying to get me hired. The people that all the candidates have worked with. The lead straight up told me that out of all us, I'm the one he's pushing for, but I'm to pale and to male. He said if I was a minority or woman, I'd be working there already. I do good work, but don't ass kiss, that's not me.

1 masters and 3 Bachelors between us, we do ok for being self sufficient, dont need the government for anything. we have everything we need to make our lives comfortable. we enjoy being in our 40's, more time for us with proper planning. we wish everyone could be like this, no ties to bind.

High school drop out here but I'm near retirement and not really very poor but should be due to all of the bad decisions in my life. Consider yourself lucky to have a good education and be able to educate your kids if I read that correctly. Looking back if I had your predicament at around 40 years of age I'd be looking at doing something you love to do. I wouldn't go to work for someone else, do something you love and fuck trying to contribute to your family. You'll do them a favor if you're happy in your new role whatever it may be.

No, have always had my head down, working hard, and keeping my mouth shut. I do very good work and would just like to be given a chance based on job performance, nothing more, nothing less. But when the people who get the jobs are in some cases incapable of doing the job, and sometimes so bad at it that you worry about the patient, there is a problem. These gals getting the jobs are 22-26 y/o and I would see them rubbing up against the hiring manager, or a couple of people who fit into the minority category's. Discrimination is discrimination, be it race, sex, age, sexual orientation doesn't matter it's wrong, and it's still wrong if it's a white guy getting passed over.

I love being a white, middle aged man.
I have 4,087 reasons, here are a few:

Teenagers ignore me. It is almost like I am invisible. (Until I rip on them for wearing pajamas in public, wtf is that?)
I am confident in any situation I am in. Bar at 2 a.m.? Fuck yeah. PTO meeting/meeting with the principal? Fuck yeah!
Most people are nice to me.
I know how to make people do things for me and even make them feel good about it.
I can give young people shit and they do not even realize it.


It is great.

I used to work almost exclusively with woman. It was terrible.


There was one fat woman that was so fucking insufferable. She was in charge of the social committee. She hounded me all year for my $20 "dues."
The social committee bought people cakes on their birthdays and flowers when they got a heat rash or what ever the fuck that shit was for.
I made it clear I wanted no part of their little sugar and flowers nonsense. She kept after me, it was really weird.

At a big meeting she was of course first in line for the lunch buffet.
She came back into the line and literally pushed herself in between me and a coworker, one of the few other males.
She said, "Excuse me, I forgot my mayo!"

When she left she kind of backed up and I loudly said, "BEEP BEEP BEEP."
Later when I was asked to apologize to her I told her I would give her $20 worth of mayonnaise if she would leave me alone.


Sensitivity training was worse than actual work, although I didn't have to talk to that large woman the the rest of the time I worked there.

That's America for you. Spending tens of thousands of dollars and years of effort trying to acquire a piece of paper (degree) just so you can have the opportunity to pay back all the money you spent to acquire that piece of paper.... IF you can even find a job and hold it down. Some students are in debt well into their middle age simply because they were told that "getting an education" was the most important thing. As if "education" transforms into intelligence and as if a college degree is some magical waiver that automatically makes you smarter than anyone who doesn't have one. Our society is strategically designed to hold you back as much as possible in every aspect of life so that the corrupt douchebag's in power can continue to expose humanity for greed, profit, and power. It's modern day slavery.

There is a huge upside to being middle-aged, and single.

I have a LOT more $$ to spend on women half my age, whereas back in my 20's barely had enough to keep the car running.:peace:

Cut it close, dated an 18 y/o when I was 32...then a 20 y/o at 34.

Bad idea, was a very awkward experience meeting their parents not much older than I was.:mrgreen:
