Sadly there isn't much I can do about the temps - no A/C just lots of airflow through the room. If it's 90 outside, the room's not going to be any cooler than that.

Also, I just harvested an Aurora and she did have a tiny bit of PM in one of her buds, so the mycogrow didn't completely eliminate it but it did a better job than anything else I've tried.

I tried Serenade and it was one of the least effective treatments. Milk and water worked better than Serenade.

Get yourself some 'green cure' (potassium bicarbonate). Before the mycogrow I was using that on PM outbreaks and it kept it at bay, but you have to treat all surfaces. It did seem to be safe to use on the buds, as long as your humidity is so low that you won't get budrot. I tasted the solution and it was palatable, and no taste issues with the treated buds. Monopotassium phosphate might help too, and the nutes there are available to the plant(unlike potassium bicarb, which I've read can't be absorbed by the plant).

I am looking to try this water only magic mud that I've been reading all about!

This is my first time mixing up this and I don't want to F it up!

------------------------

12 Cubic feet of medium:
- 50/50 ProMix BX & Happy Frog Potting Mix

30 Pounds Worm Castings
5 Pounds Steamed Fish Bone meal
4 Pounds Blood meal
3 Pounds Happy Frog Bat Guano 0-7-0 (With Humic Acid)
1 Cup Azomite
1 Cup Hydrated Lime - POWDERED (Should I get the PRILLED instead)
1 Cup Epsom salts

------------------------

I was thinking of adding a couple of other things?

- Rock Phosphate
- Kelp Meal
- Alfalfa Meal

Are these needed? And would I need to reduce the ratios of other amendments if I added the Kelp and Alfalfa?

------------------------

Props to Sub for all his hard work and sharing it with the community!

I wish I knew what the secret ingredient in the video was…

I'm really excited to to mix this up. Any help is much appreciated!

Found it!

Fulvic Acid

Sub has some sort of potent form. Just a pinch.

Could the Fulvic Acid in Liquid Karma or Roots Organics Ancient Amber be sufficient if added to the initial watering/moistening?

Would you want to add it at a higher concentration?

I love this!

My secret was passed to me by an old OD grower I respect big time. I have no clue if it helps or not but he uses it and so do I.
Hes the Weeden Gardener

It was passed to me to use as follows
mix 1 gallon to 1 teaspoon then take this and mix one teaspoon of what ya made into a gallon of water so I assume its really strong thats why I use a pinch.

RO users should up there Epson salts

Yo Sub! Any chance for some advice on my mud from a couple posts back? I'm eager to get it cooking.

I grow some heavy feeder indica and indica dom hybrids. This mix should be good for them?

Thanks in advance for any info!!!

Not to speak for the man or anything but go with his recipe. Yours doesn't seem to have as much guano and if you have heavy feeders they'll probably need it. His recipe is fail-safe, if you stick to it you'll have nothing but dank. I also grow some heavy indicas and they love it.

Cool. I can bump up the Guano no prob. Thnx MetalHead!

Its a matter of getting and having certain ingredients for me.

I would love to follow it perfectly, I just want to get as close as possible.

Yeah, I remember you mentioning the fulvic acid in the Weeden thread. It sure didn't bother those outdoor monsters he had!

First off kudos on the excellent thread, you are better than most when it comes to sharing knowledge.
I went out and rounded up all the ingredients on the list and made a “full batch”, cooking under the sun as we speak.
I guess I only have one concern and that is I usually veg for about 45 days and I need to figure out how to keep them happy until they go into the 7 gallon pots.
Could I get away with the plain 50/50 base mix in a 2 gallon pot with say 20% of the super soil on bottom? Or just put in the 50/50 base mix and top dress at 30 days with 2-3” of super soil?
Guessing the top dressing would be better, but in your 2 decades i'm sure you have addressed this once or twice ;)

Crossing over from years in the coco world and looking foward to testing out your tried and true recipe.

Again keep up the great work, Karma works in mysterious ways…

Seems to still be some confusion.
I transplant into the 7 gallon pots into super soil and veg for 60 then bud for 60 same soil same pot.

Hey thank you for clearing that up, note taken and it will be put to excellent use.
I think the mix up comes from your recipe being on at least 5 other sites. I read them all cover to cover before I actually found it at the source. At the other sites they have your mix so far twisted it isn’t even funny, cant imagine their results. I had to erase all those notes and now have the "exact" recipe straight from the horses mouth, so to speak. Thanks again...

my bad. i must have missed it. thanks for pointing me in the right direction andy.
No worries redeye. The thread's getting lengthy, and others were probably wondering the same thing.:bigjoint:

Also, I'm sure the man could use the help, as it gets tiresome answering the same questions more than twice.

Get that book on the shelves Sub! :-D

Why do you think no one (i.e. Fox Farm, Roots) has put out a soil line that is complete and ready for growing (like bags of super soil)? Someone would make a fortune. Do you think it's so they can sell other fertilizers or do you think it's just too labor intensive. Maybe you should take over the soil industry as well.
