The one needed water now so i transplanted both today into 3 gal pots. Total volume of soil in the pots is 3.6gal and they're still 2" from being full. I used a little more perlite this time (40% perlite 60%FFOF compared to 30% perlite) to get better drainage. They took a lot of water (2000-3000ml). I adjusted the water pH for the first time to 6.7. I also added 0.25 tsp of 12% food grade H2O2 per 500mL for preventive purposes.

using one tspoon of bleach in yure water kills all pathogens and roots being attcked.also using one teaspoon in yure jug water kills algae thats formed and makes it perfect water and very safe, jus the smell is scary, lol, but safe, also h202 can easily kill the plant .

I keep hearing peeps bitch about chlorine in there water sorce. ie. city water. wouldn't a tsp of bleach be at least as much or more chlorine in the water? I use water from a hole in the ground and never had to deal with city water.

what size pots now? I do 3 and 4 foot plants in 2 gal. Has been a pain to keep watered in late flower.
I read that you should use a scale of 1gal for each foot your plant will grow mine are in two gal pots and thats where they are going to stay through flowering because i need to determine sex before i transplant i wish they showed sex a lot earlier.

i'll germ like 60 to 90 reg seeds , place them in 5 " containers,i flower from seed, in 3 weex sex determined ,toss the males, transplant in multiple 8" sqare 2 gallon containers for one large main cola, finish them under2- 1000s, 24 to 40 grams each..2 to 3 pounds of multiple strains every 75 to 85 days.

wow! I didn't know you can get that much yield from flowering from seed.

Does bleach also introduce O2 to the roots?

I have a few more pics. Today is day 39. This is pretty much the final setup (except for enclosing it hooking up the diy carbon filter for flowering.

no, yu jus let the container dry out more between waterings .water at 2 on yure moisture meter and that will solve that problem.

They're looking fine today. I think they like their new homes. Day 41 today. I can see some preflowers, but can't tell their sex yet. The preflowers on the secondardy nodes (what look like preflowers) look female. Do preflowers even occur on secondary nodes? I can't see any pistillates yet though, probably won't til a week or so into flowering. I'm hoping for at least 1 female. Next time I'll spend the extra money to get feminized seeds. I bought a 30x loupe magnifier from ebay.

Day 48. Some more pics. They're looking good. I'm still not sure of their sex. The preflowers look the same on both plants. I added 2tbl of FF big bloom per gallon on the last watering. I'm thinking about starting flowering sometime this week.

I got my moisture meter...now I don't to guess about watering anymore.

thanks raiderman. I'll have to pay closer attention to the water content. I watered one plant Monday night this week and it was very dry...my gauge read 0.2 to 0.5...but the plant looked fine and still does right now. The only thing that i'm worried about when using the moisture meter is hurting the roots when i push the rod down....i guess it doesn't hurt them much.

they're growing fast now. I'll have to look at the preflowers again. I'll probably post some pics friday. I'm considering flowering soon, b/c i want to keep it under control during the "stretch" and flowering.

I got a 30x magnifying glass today and took a look at the preflowers. It doesn't look good....i think both plants are males?! I'm going to start flowering today (Day 52) to make sure. There's tiny green "leaves" cupping a white ball. It's definitely not a single cone shaped growth. Same thing on both plants. It looks like the pics here: https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/10692-sexing.html

huhhhhh...should have gotten feminized seeds.

Maybe the mild/moderate watering issues i had earlier caused them to be males.

I guess i'll start germinating 2 more seeds.

fems do help, jus starta few maore to narrow down wat yu want.after germing i place mine in 5 inch containers, lettem veg 3 weex, start 12/12,wen females are apparent transplant to a bigger container,yu can continue to flower which it will still get big and fill the pot with roots or go back to veg state then flower later.
