Sticky, just watched this and it's a pretty good video in general. He shows some tricks for bottle-tech pressing, and you can hear him talk about his material PSI and all that stuff. Not sure if you've seen it or not yet!

Thanks, Ibn! You posted that for me once before and I've been looking for it.

His bags are bigger diameter than the tubes I have. I think I am over packing.

Could easily be. What's more important is making sure there's no air space inside where you can lose product and keeping blowouts to a minimum. Also if you listen to what he says, he says to make sure you keep the PSI about the same, bc you'll lose material within the clamp. You can think of it as the matter becoming thinner, while the press itself doesn't exert more pressure. Idk how your dulytek works though, whether or not something like that is feasible?

I set the temps and time and push a "press" button when both the top and bottom plates get up to the correct temps. Pretty basic. There's no way for me to tell it how much psi. It's all automatic.

The one way to approximate psi, is to use diff area (L x W) bags. If you wanted, say 600psi, you would plug the 600 and 3tons=6000lbs of force into (force divided by bag area equals psi; F/BA=PSI); so, 6000/BA=600 -> 6000/600=BA -> 10 sq inch. So if you pack a bag with L x W=10sq inches, and oress at your press’ max force, you will be close to 600psi.

I'm glad someone in here's good at math! This engineer certainly isn't!

Here's from 3 grams just now but I hand packed and didn't use the hammer mold. The bag still split but, to tell the truth I don't see that it's much of a problem since it still keeps the leaf out. Not a bad yield really.

Installing the new barrel with the level float and solenoid valve to automatically turn on/off the water didn't work out so well. I ordered a normally closed valve and I should have ordered a normally open one. It works the complete opposite of what it should. When the level float is open, it should turn on but only does when the float is closed... Gotta order the right one now.
