I let it sit in the Duly while it heated up to get it warmed up before the press.

The bag split almost immediately as the top plate made full extension.

This is what I received for that amount of flower.

It's about the size of a standard marble.

Bag splitting probably means you had a little too much in it. Also it looks like your seams are to the...outside? That will also cause your bag to have a higher chance of splitting open.

That shit also looks delicious. I just took a hit off some reclaim my damn self lol! Thinking about taking another one. Mm.

Yep, seam on the outside was what I did the first squish with it. I made sure last night to put the seam on the inside. More than likely, I packed too much in it.... Maybe just soe low quality bags?

I got a lot more out of it this time at 220° for 4.5 minutes. I can't wait to see the result from some newly dried and cured flower. :blsmoke: Gotta wait until around the end of July for that. Looking for gold instead of brown. (:

It will always be brown if you press at that temp for that long...

The most golden stuff comes from kief/bubble...more teks to master..,

Your plants, close to wk 2, right?

Got pics?
The MHM and JH are at 11 of 70 days in veg now. The PYC and LHZ are at about 1 week.

I'm having a hell of a time keeping the diatomaceous earth off the plants themselves. If you see white or spots anywhere on the plants, it's not PM, is diatomaceous earth...

LHZ - not such a freak anymore.

PYC - It received the first mainline cut at the same time as LHZ but, it's about a week younger than LHZ.

That makes sense. Kind of a bummer but I can live with it.
When you press cooler and shorter, you will get less yield.

As you research other people’s experience, you’ll pick up tricks to boost yield without overheating.

You’ll also find that your growing expertise is gonna yield more than enuff bud to tradeoff yield for quality.

I’m hoping to improve the ease and yields of my bubblemaking to a point where all the press material goes that way....eventually...for best quality and highest yield per press cycle....

I think my efforts to keep them short might have worked a little too well. Lol, water is nearly impossible to do without getting it on the plants a bit and dusting with the diatomaceous earth is almost impossible to do without dusting the plants with it too.

JH is going crazy with growth. She's almost as wide as the 25 gal container now. Her and MHM need to start having their laterals tied down soon.

I took the shade leaves from nodes 2 and 4 on them to make sure light would get to the rest.

Lookin good, you got the mainline training down...

Be careful with DE, too much of that dust can cause lung cancer, same kinda thing as asbestos....

Yep, I was surprised to read that. I think what I'm gonna need to do is turn off the fans, dust and turn them on. I also need a much smaller sifter.

I've heard a lot of people talk up the benefits of it with stronger bases and branches and overall health if the plant. Giving it an honest effort to see how it goes. Its definitely a pita.

The real trick is figuring out when to remove fan leaves: tradeoff between the power of a mature leaf vs directing plant’s energy to main growing tip.

But, for sure, remove lateral tips below main tip as soon as possible, upto point where you let mains go vertical.

Might consider an appropriate nose-mouth mask in that enclosed area.

My 1" bulkhead connector should arrive today. We're heading in to meet our daughter and son in law for breakfast and hang out for a while today. Won't get to the water barrel project until tomorrow...

Would definitely recommend a respirator if DE can cause lung cancer like asbestos! Yikes! I imagine you're using that for bugs?

The stuff I ordered won't be here until like Tuesday or Wednesday :( Got a 25 site cloner coming in, bit of calimagic and some armor si, a propagation kit, and some 62% bovedas.

It was originally just to provide more calcium to help the plant create stronger pipes but, then I did notice extremely small soil mites in the soil so it's use is now two fold.

However, they haven't gone for the plants at all yet so I'm wondering if they're only after the decaying materials in the soil. Either way, I'm trying to be diligent for a week or two to see if I can use the DE to get rid of them.
