stem splitting+winkley plant

just wondering is it normal for stems to split when there growing ? here are some pics , also look at this plant what do u think is wrong with it ?

yup you have nothing to worry about

stems splitting or stems being brittle is a sign of boron deficiency.

how bad is the splitting though?

cant tell from the pics how bad they are split but mine seemed to split as they got wider, they are about 3cm accross now and are fine. Look like small tree trunks now.

I also had a Ph problem in one plant after over doing it with molasses too, after testing my run off accurately i found it to be 4.5, i put my wrinkly leaves down to this as my other plant is fine and the Ph in that one was somewhere between 5-6, i flushed with water at Ph 7 and the change was quite dramatic however the leaves that looked like that havent recovered, i would imagine its perminant.

the stems aint to brittle , must just be them getting bigger , just thought it was alot odd they way it happens.

id find a way to add some boron anyway it promote healthy stems
