Stealth speaker grow - lighting

My speaker has inside dimensions of 16.5" wide, 10.5 deep, 29" height.

Planning on 1 or 2 plants. Using CFLwill require a min of 100 actual watts (600 equivalent I believe) each plant?

Those bulbs are 10"-13" + the bulb fixture so were talking about12"-15" length. Correct?


I was going to grow years ago and have a 400 watt HPS ballast with a 250 watt bulb and a 400 watt MH ballast, no bulb. Could either of those be used? Doesn't the ballast get hot or just the bulb? I wanted to test it so I tried plugging it in, in the garage but the fuse box tripped. I assume these will take more to run?

You can hang the bulbs vertically or horizontally(More Cab space) and Bulb surface area to Plant ratio(The Tips of CFL are "Like" deadspots..Little too NO Lumens)

While you're at it put the horizontal lights on some sort of movable fixture to adjust height as you go.

in the speaker I would top, lst the plant and use t5's as you don't have much height

i had a speaker box grow when i was first starting out, i used vertical florescents in the each corner, and i dad never found it lol
