@ stealth growes in the US, need advice.

So ive got all my stuff ordered, ive got a nice utility cabinet i was going to do 1 or 2 plants in, im about 423$ in for everything, very nice set up. Now that ive got it ordered ive been all sketch and paranoid about getting caught and having 2nd thoughts, i live in the states and in a state that isnt legal to grow.. yet.. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what they did to get over it? Mostly because everyone around you always talks about how youd get caught etc etc.

Think i should wait a while after i get all my stuff, store my seeds and give it some time to make sure no one randomly comes in to check on me or?

Im interested to see what a nice $423 set up looks like.

Just do it, 1 or 2 is nothing; If you are prepared to possibly be caught.

At some point you just have to get over the illegality of it. Over the past couple months I've ordered off amazon: Nutes, Hydroton, CFLs, PPM meter, couple other things. My amazon history looks so sketchy lol.

Yeah i ordered the temp clock w/ humidity, nutes, 12v converter for my 140mm fans, ph up and down. Ordered the lights separately, got the vanity 3 socket light set ups locally with my cabinet and the matte white paint. Seeds from attitude, gettin all sketched and shit now.

Nobody needs legal headaches, you should have used a different address
or driven to buy equipment cash. Humm, wait awhile or do it else where.

Yeah i mean my wall ac unit takes more electricity then my cfls will, and we rent the house but we pay and get billed directly from the power company, my landlord just gets a rent check and i handle the utilities so its not like hed notice 6-8 more cfls running. I think im going to wait a bit just to see if anyone comes poking their head around after noticing what i ordered?

As long as your grow is under 1200w just say you keep a heater or air conditioner on No big deal

Cfls are small you have nothing to worry about

^good points. My brother used to work at ups, they dont pay attention to what anything is nor do they care. As long as skunk isnt coming out your windows or light leaking out, visible from the outside you shouldnt be worried. sketchyness leads to stress which leads to hermies lol.

do you have a medical card? if so you will be fine by the state!

the reason why i am growing is because of this reason i can grow up to 18plants legally in my state.

if you're really feeling sketched, just start growing some other plant in there
tomatoes for example, once you get used to growing inside, weed will just be another plant

I was paranoid about my pc case, but you have to put yourself in the mindset of somebody with no idea about 'stealth grow cases like converted draws and PC boxes' before I started looking on sites like this, I had no idea of a pc grow case, and still if I saw one I probably wouldn't assume there's a grow inside unless it stunk. But odour control can be brought into the equation, other people won't have a clue and won't be looking for your grow setup, and you are most likely thinking they are even at teh back of your mind.

I'd like to add that if you already smoke weed and people know that you smoke weed it would be less likely that they assume you are growing and assume that you are just a dirty lazy pothead...which we totally aren't lol. @RRain have you done a complete grow yet using your pc case? Maybe its cause of my lack of things to do but I may spontaneously go out and start building my own. Still in the planning phases and looking at things I'll need to know about caring for a lady since I'm a total amateur.

Well i bought a really nice storage cabinet that you would use for tools in your garage, was going to use the bottom half. Then i thought, why dont i learn on one plant in a stealth rubbermade grow.

Okay question, I have been seeing the rubbermade "stealth" grow boxes come up a couple times so far through my browsing and I really fail to see the aspect of it that is stealth. It may be out of sight but you're still going to have to deal with the smell. A storage cabinet sounds good though, I mean why not spend some extra time making a good sturdy box?

between ona gel and a carbon filter you wont smell anything, ive got the entire thing weather strip sealed as well. 1 plant doesny smell that much, not my strain at least.

ive got it in the corner of my room with another double stacked rubbermade next to it thats actually being used for storage, the intake fan is on the back against the wall and the outtake is on the side against the wall, ill get pictures soon on my journal.

I guess it would work if the strain wasn't that strong smelling but then again you aren't flowering yet right? My biggest concern with building my own grow box is the smell. If that is contained then I am free to get lost in that tiny growing space. I am actually going to go and grab the case that I will be using. Kind of get spontaneous with buying things for projects like this so I'm trying to plan it all out. If I am going to use a Tall Tower pc case are the 2 fans all I need, the intake and exaust? Or should I try and add more fans if space is available?

I understand how you feel..I'm also in a non-legal state ..Paranoia will destroy ya....lol...Stop thinking too much!!!You had a reason to want to grow in the 1st place..Go with that..The thing is KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!! do not tell anyone not even your best friend(not until you harvest/toke with him/her).Other than you partner who you share the apartment with..Don't say anything..do your normal thing act like your regular self..When you see your beautiful plants growing you want to tell somone sooo bad!!!!DON'T!!!..Tell us online we all doing the same thing and we don't know you...Other than you are like us.....I ordered seeds with my CC real name,real addy ,go to Home depot,walmart and buy grow stuff..I also grow tomatoes,basil etc;etc(someone suggested you grow tomatoes earlier) If you have the landlord in check no surprize inspections & you have your plan for odor..it's a no brainer...have you lights come on early 4am 5 am go off early if you running 18/6...then when you switch to 12/12 lights would be off early evening(mine go off at 6pm flowering now)..Nothing to fear,but fear itself ..Happy growing...

I just went out and grabbed my own PC case, all the medium to tall cases were around 100 but they were also new. I don't have the patience nor trust in ordering online since I'm impatient as is in wanting to get everything I need. My only concern is that its one of those towers with the open holes on top for another fan. I am wondering whether to leave the fan and cover up tightly everything around it as another exhaust or just use it as the only one since I do have 4 spots for fans, one of which is the side opening panel but I'm not going to use that one. I'm also not sure if I should insulate or just mount some myler on pieces of cardboard. Anyone have any suggestions? My place usually has the AC blowing also which worries me for when lights are off.

I'm having a similar problem. I've grown before at an apt. where I just mailed the check. I moved to a bigger place with more room but the land lord lives in the front of the house attached. Everything will be cool, except he has the electric meter on his side of the basement. I'm only gonna run a 400w for 1 grow 2-3 plants as NY laws suck balls. Any idea what the electric meter would look like? My electric was included at the old place so they didn't know who was runnin it up. I pulled off 11 months before they wanted to do a walk through. eh fuck im doin it either way.
