Starting Under 600w HPS

Does anyone want to recomend a good distance between the plants and the light for starting out? (from germinated seed) I have placed my hand between the cup and the light and it just feels a little warm at about 7 inches.

I am currently germinating my final seed but experimenting with bag seed in cups now.

i would do exactly wat you did... just get it close as you can without it getting hot.

this is done by putting your hand above the plant and feeling

Firstly, I wouldn't recommened a 600w HPS for veg or for germination of seedlings, but plenty of people will disagree with me.

If you MUST use it, keep it about 3-4 feet away from those cups MINIMUM!

And please use proper plant pots and not what you brought home from McDonalds.

save you ecectric bill during veg and use flros.
