starting from a jug...

i just planted a seed in a milk jug cut in half,will it still germanate,and what is the right time to transplant to the ground

when it grows to be about a foot tall.

what about 4 in side do i just leave it alone

The thing about just planting a seed, is u really don't know if it'll grow till it pops up above ground. That's why I do the old paper towell method, but regardless, as long as u got a good bean in there, and u keep it moist, NOT WET, itshould come up. A foot tall sounds big to be transplanting, but taking into account that ur puttin it outside, a foot does sound good. At a foot tall, the plant should definately be strong enough to handle the shock of both the transplant, and the new found outdoor elements. Idk, if ur plannin on havin a fan on the seedling, but i would definately suggest it. A slight breeze on it will help stiffen up the stem which will also prepare it for the outdoor life as well. ohh and how many seeds do ya'll suggest to plant.i mean its a regular 1 gallon milk jug.
