I have just started growing my first plant and what I believe to be a White Widow feminized seed. The seed looked exactly like photos of cannabis seeds on google, however, the plant is not at all growing how I would expect and it is worrying me that I'm not even growing cannabis.
The seed was planted in 4 parts Nature's Care organic soil as the growth medium, 1 part perlite, 1 part worm castings, and 1 part Plant Tone organic 5-3-3 fertilizer. The seed sprouted two cotyledons in a few days and all looked normal. But no serrated leaves ever formed and instead, there are 4 runners/stems that have emerged from the center of the plant. The plant is also very short/flat instead of climbing vertically. It does look like there are "nodes" on these stems, but I'm unsure if these are indicative of cannabis. The leaves at the furthest ends of the stems do seem to be taking on a somewhat serrated shape instead of rounded, but it's very slight.
The plant itself seems very healthy with good color, but I don't want to keep investing time and energy into this if I was scammed on the seed I received. I've tried looking up what other types of plants have similar looking seeds to cannabis (lentils, allspice, etc), but those plants' sprouts do not look like my plant either.
I'm currently growing this single plant indoors under a 150w HPS grow lamp that's currently on 24 hours a day for the vegetative stage (not doing 18/6). The PH level is currently at about 6.8. I water about 3 times per day at somewhat regular intervals (but not always). The water I give is never a ton, but just enough to make sure the top soil is kept moist. The top soil dries out throughout the day, but the soil within the first inch below the surface is moist and the plant doesn't seem like it's not getting enough water from what I can tell. Any help would be great. See pic attached
