usually i only top the 1 main time when i get to 14 nodes or 7 layers of branching. (usually sacrifice bottom layer by bud if they don't catch up)

I then will top any of the randoms that grow to long. i usually just let em go if its only a couple inches.

I always make sure to prune a lot of man leaves too ALOT!! il take some pics and post in just a sec of what some of my babes look like in veg. i take em down BARE almost and let the bottom catch up while the top struggles. Im sure I'm stunting them with this technique but you see the results after a normal veg time.

And yea reserva privada is pretty expensive i don't normally dish out for the top dollar but this one came a request by one of my patients as the one he really really wanted. he claims it helps him focus. so as a caregiver i had to buckle lol thats kinda the gig isn't it, giving care :leaf:

I had a good feeling thats what you were doing. I have never pinched my plants so thats why they never bush out like yours. what's your guess at to what kind of yield your looking at? I got 6 kush under a 600 watt hybrid(been doing this for over 2 years)60 days of veg and 60 days flowering and yield 2 oz a plant.picture000.jpgpicture002.jpgpicture001.jpgThose are 5 weeks old(I Know shitty pic's,1.3mp camera)

lol 1.3!!! i think my toothbrush has an 8.0mp now a days! you must be up in the "real" part of canada lol

Those look great tho i can only fit 1 or 2 under a 600w but i don't really put plants under a light so to say. i have pretty much just covered the ceiling with 600w lights and let whole room get flooded with light. i move them around daily, spinning and shuffling them around. giving them equal chances to be directly under a light.

These bay dreams got WAY out of hand when they were seedlings they wanted to get so TALL but with a little rough play they got their shit together.

I usually wait for one of those mornings WHEN YA DONT WANNA WAKE UP!! everybody SUCKS! lol sorry enough limp bizkit but ya i wait for one of the days when I'm feeling aggressive to go do the pruning. you can't be a bitch about it and be all nice to the plant. Ive attacked em so bad they were just a little nub sticking up with some brand new nodes just barely popping out. give em a week and they are good to go.

In your situation id probably be doing the same as you. i don't know your situation but I'm assuming space/lights/time are at a premium, if that was my case id be jamming 3 gallon girls as tight as i could in there. Im running almost all seedlings right now so each plant is a little diff, I'm trying to maximize the amount i can pull off 1 without getting them all west coast master style. just trying to find the winners i guess.

Those top leaves on the sour secrets will come off eventually once a couple of the middle ones pop out. i don't TOTALLY abuse them :fire:

I live in Saskatchewan Canada. What I got is a 4x4x6 mylar tent, 2 6 inch inlines(one for the hood and one to vent the tent)A 600 watt digital ballast(hybrid) a 10 dollar oscillating fan and a 10 dollar humidifier.
I got my tent in the spare room of my apartment(I'm on the top of a 3 story building so smell is no problem)I use 3 gallon pots for vegging and 5 gallon for flowering. I use just regular potting soil and miracle grow(20-20-20). Distilled water and I never check PH as the water here is good. I veg my plants 60 days under a 600 metal halide then finish with the 600 HPS for another 60 day's. Everytime 2 oz a plant. Also I always start from seed. I have been doing this now for 7 grows and my wife and I are always puffing on the good old vaporizer.

You say you just got those plants scattered everywhere? damn I can almost see it.
Unlike you trying every strain out there I found a strain that was easy to grow, short and potent so thats why I ended up with the kush. But I been wanting to try a few different strains like blueberry but I don't want to end up with a strain that won't yield as good and end up short handed(I'll be damned if I have to walk the streets asking for bud)especially here because theres nothing but indian weed here(not even good for oil). Also did I mention I'm 40 years old? Pretty hard for me to find bud's on the street when everyone thinks your a copper.

sounds like you got a great set up going. most people will laugh at you over the miracle grow and i probably would of too had i not worked at the shop for so long and met a lot of old timers that have been using it for 30+ years successfully and tested out every bottle nute thats came along and none work as good as good ole miracle grow. (just gotta use it right!)

ya a third of my basement is walled off in plastic and i use 2/3 of that room inside with a 1/3 section with a bench and little hangout spot where i go smoke and read, have coffee, whatever really. its set up like an indoor garden more then a grow room i guess you could say. i got the lights on the ceiling touching corners so like Light... No light area the size of a light.... Light.... no light area.... light and so on and i stagger them so it makes a nice little checkerboard pattern on the ceiling. I've found keeping them at max height helps with heat, a lot less room for that hot cushion to build up. Most people would probably laugh and say I'm not using my room efficiently but id laugh at them and say my patients seem to think its efficient enough! I haven't pulled any of these headbands to really know how much they yield yet but I've seen some double digits on some of my other strains going all the way up to 17 off one of the BIG girls in a 35 gallon grow bag. so I'm hoping these headbands bring the weight!

You should make the pilgrimage over to Da Kine coffee shop in vancouver. Thats where budderkings budder debuted at. he makes 99.6% solvent less extracts. The article i just read was from 04 so idk if that place is still open or not but its got me wanting to come up to canada. High times i think has a new article coming up in august on how to make it. there was a thread going around with pics of the article on RIU somewhere. shit looks amazing!

I hear you and ya I'm sure there's lot's of scener's facepalming when they hear how I grow but like I said I'm too old to be walking The streets so I found what works for me and I'm sticking with it. I have seen those write-up's on that budder(would love to try it or make it)I'm still not sure what it is(concentrate extracts)oil? Hash? whatever it is it sure looks good. With your lamps at max height don't you find that there's too much stretching or is that not a problem for you?

I'll post some pic's of my latests crop the ones you see already was taken yesterday but once a week or so I'll post updates to show how well this strain does for me and my miracle grow lol.

well most of the time i try to veg my plants to the right height and if they're too short i take a tote or a 5 gallon bucket and flip it over and use them as a little booster step until they grow out of it. (if they ever do) so basically i adjust my plant height 1 by 1 instead of the lights i find i can keep my canopy at about 2' from the lights evenly across 10 or so different seed plants that are all growing a little diff. hell i got one thats on a cardboard box cause it needed a little bit of a boost but not too much :mrgreen:

ya budder is supposed to be solvent less so no butane or anything in it and i think u even bake it at some point but i don't know i haven't got into yet. i can only process so many things at once if i wanna succeed and I'm invested in weed taffy at the moment. NEXT UP budder for sure. 99.6% is nuts. its supposed to be amazingly smooth too like doesn't bite you like normal hash. its the hash of all hashes i guess lol. makes me drool!

hell ya thats it too you hit the nail on the head their "the strain that works for you in your miracle grow" thats the trick just finding something that works for you individually. too many people try to blow out a bedroom into a cali style grow and just flub it alllll up. and then when it didn't work they blame everyone else for it not working (nutes, seed companies, equipment) and then go buy more shit too fix their problem and just compound more problems. keeping it simple will reward you nicely. and if you experiment keep it small until you figure it out. 3 times I've lost plants in hydro. only 2 at a time all 3 times. if i woulda blown out my whole room hydro i woulda been toast but because i just tested my hydro skills i was good to go only lost 2.

HGK, whats that spray n grow smell like?? I have a bottle of Chelated liquid iron I use at half strength to foilar feed with because its just a bunch of micro and trace elements. Its amber colored and smells like iron. If u get that shit on your hands theyll smell like iron for hours and washing your hands does very little if anything. Your Headbands are lookin alot better than mine. Its a long stretchy bitch, thought about 86ing her but i cut a couple clones just to see if it was nurture not nature that made her stretch so much. Anyway lookin good and keep on keepin on!!
