So I've tried a few diff qb style boards and I'm trying out the Spiderfarmer sf1000 over an auto to see how it does. I'll also be using my quantum par meter to get some readings and see how the light does!

So far I'm happy with the light. Unboxed and tested her out and everything's great.
Just getting some things ready and we can get this thing going! Looks like a great entry level qboard so far.

I haven't had any of their boards before but I figured I'd try it out. I have a few other boards from diff manufacturers and figured I'd give this a go and see how it does compared to the others.

Had one for a couple years now (pretty sure its the sf1k). Use it for veg now,works great. Lot cooler than my mh1k.

I just ordered 5 of these for my 4x4. They have a decent coverage and PPF output. Usable PPF out of each fixture is about 190 umols which equates to a 1.96 umol/w efficiency. Please note before buying Chinese Led's that the 1000 does not equate to 1000 watts equivalent. You should have at least 7 if you are trying to match a 1000 watts output. The general rule to avoid LARF is 65 umols per square foot. For example a 4x4 tent would require 1040 usable PPF or 5.5 Spider-farmer SF1000 fixtures. Let us know how you like them and how many you're using in your given space.

Not much to update seedling just sprouted and getting things ready. I'd like to run the par meter test in the 2x2 but mine is currently being utilized as a drying room for another auto that just finished up. Once that's done I'll run the par meter test and update my findings here on this thread. Thanks again to @Spiderfarmerled hopefully I can win that light you're giving away. Would be perfect in my smaller setup.

Well I finally had some time on my hands and I think what I'm gonna do is a 'micro' grow with 4plants in 1gal maybe 2gal containers. Let's see what we can do with one sf1000 and a 4plants.
Here's some readings with my photobio by phantom. It's not really 'scientific' I didn't measure out the bottom footprint etc so don't take the readings as the bottom line but it gives a solid idea.
Readings were from 12", 18" and 24" in a 2x2 one reading with door open one reading with door closed

I just bought mine. Be here Thursday.
I’m going to be doing a macro/micro grow as well But I’m going to attempt to max out my grow space and cover my foot print with as many as it will let me.

Well actually I still haven’t decided if I’m gonna run 4 ladies or max out with clones 12/12 from root

Cool post on here if ya like we can have a micro grow off. See who can yeild more!

Actually. That sounds like a phenomenal idea as far as seeing which way is more beneficial.

But so many things go into play Conditions. Strains. Genetics of strains. Would have to figure out an over all average. We could kill 2 birds with 1 stone

Ya it would be just for fun man. Not a title fight.
I don't see why I couldn't get 4-6oz in a 2x2 let's see what happens.

Nothing competitive. Just using the same light with 2 different styles of grow. I can get my answers without setting up differently the next run. Or having to buy another light (which really isn’t on the table atm)
