Spider Mites & Ladybugs? Help Please

Amazingly my 2 plants in flower have taken off overnight. Changed the nutes today. They are both recovering nicely. Haven't seen a single egg or SM... but I know they are still around and or the hidden eggs will hatch.... so I'll keep it up at least once every 3 days.
I have the No Pest Strip in the veg room 24/7 and in the flowering room the same. With exhaust it draws air directly over the Pest Strip, accoss the plants and out the room to the outside. There is also a good exchang of air within the room so the No Pest odors don't accumulate. Like I said, no SM's found today and tops grew an inch overnight.
I'm sold on the combo.

get urself a copy of urban garden magazine, i got it free at the local hydro shop, but it costs like 6 bucks and has a lot of neat info... it has a killer alien vs. predator section...

ladybugs are best suited for aphids, and larvae....

for spider mites:

Spider mite preds - special skill - enjoy high humidity, breeds faster than spidermites - ID: mesoseiulus longipes, neoseiulus californicus phytoseiulus persimilis, according to the mag they are sold in three packs sometimes.. these puppies only feed on spider mites and breed twice as fast...
pirate bugs - good for vegetative plants and mother plants - they are better suited for when lighting periods are of 15hrs+
green lacewings - "during the 2-3 weeks it takes lacewings to develp through the larval stage they'll eat up to 200 aphids or other insect eggs, larvae and adults PER WEEK. adults range in size from 1/2" to 3/4" and feed only on honeydew, nectar and pollen."

info gotten off urban garden magazine.... good luck!

cool thanks yeah i looked up pirate bugs they are mean little bastards "These small insects can bite humans, with surprising pain for such a small insect. However, they do not feed on human blood or inject venom or saliva" wow i dont know? i dont want them biting the hell out of me in my sleep. lol have you used them before

Call it simple. AZATROL. thats all you need to know. Used Neem Oil for two years and my local hydro store told me they got this stuff new. Four times the cost i asked him if he would put his stamp of approval on it. He responded it doesnot work bring it back. Well at a hundred dollars a quart the stuff works like four hundred dollars a quart. Summer months here has humidity in the high fourties low fifties. temperature just below 80 degrees. use intake and exhaust fans to maintain the low temperature with an ac over the 1000 watt lights. I usually lose crops during these months because of the perfect climate for spider mites to breed. And well for the first year their are no spider mites thanks to AZATROL. Get it TRUST ME.

red branches could be a deficiency....in alot of cases it is perfectly normal, strain/genetic related. i have some red on my stems also, never worried about it. the spider mites should die instantly after being sprayed....another option to get majority of them is to spray them with a shower head, it knocks em off... if they arent dying right away try adding more alcohol... i use 30 percent 70% alcohol and 70 percent water. a couple drops of dish soap.

cool the red branches are noting to sweet. i was talking to a local plant store they told me to start feeding them becouse it was a deficiency. i sprayed the hell out of the mites agen last night i think i better handle on them now i hope the shower head works good though? what do you do set them on there side and hose them down

about the red stems im only telling you what people have told me. it may be a deficiency it may not. in my case red stems didnt seem to hurt anything, yield was good, potency was great..

hopefully your plants are in small pots. take the pot turn it upside down using your hands, cup the soil so not much falls out. take the shower head and spray the plants. this knocks off spider mites and eggs. the water should be warm.

yeah im going to try the shower heard. i finely got a hold of the guy at the dispensary he told me that the plants are turning purple because their is purple genetics within the background of the plant. i guess they are ok. i wish i could find out more about the bread and what makes it up. i cant find any thing

Dude:

Turn off your exhaust and put 2 no pest strips in there for 5 days. You want the fumes to really accumulate in there - not got exhausted out.

If heat is an issue - then just turn the exhaust off at night - but the key is to fill the room up with no pest fumes. It also helps to put sand on top of your dirt while you do this so any mites that burrow to get away from the fumes are smothered.

I realize that natural is preferred for pot - but I have tried just about every tip for mites and the no pest strips are the only thing that works.

I do not use them in flowering but it's always a good idea to blast the room once during veg...IMHO.

Good luck
