somebody hermed, now what to do? +rep for any help

I have two girls both dwc on the beginning of week 8 flower. I had noticed a few calyxes where quite large and thought nothing of it. I never found nanners or balls but I found a few seed pods today. I popped open two swollen calyxes one off each plant in the under growth on popcorn buds both where seeds. It doesn't appear that they are all over the plant but I'm still ticked. My question is with only a couple weeks left should I let em go or harvest early? The reason I ask is I have two girls in my veg closet in the same room waiting to go in the flowering tent. I don't want my pineapple express or querkle to get pollinated also. They are in veg but have been showing preflowers for a couple weeks now. Am I risking that harvest too? What should I do? All help appreciated.

imo yes i would harvest most deff harvest if its a indica dom. strain. sativa takes longer, some believe that only weed pollen will seed a plant but i don;t i believe any pollen will seed a plant. the seeds won't be for shit but i have had the same issue, harvest then clean clean clean, also make sure the intake is screened off as not to risk any pollen in and doing the same to the next.. good luck and KEEP ON GROWIN

The veggers wont be pollinated by the the ones you have going now. What you do need to do however is make sure you clean out your room fairly well to get all the stray pollen you can out of there. Also give the veggers a good mist with water a couple times to get pollen that may have gotten on them off once you put them into bud. Whatever damage has been done to the ones in flower is already done and there is nothing you can do to reverse it. If it were me I would finish them out, all of us have had stray pollen sacks here and there that has given us a few seeds. If its not bad consider yourself lucky and just pick out the seeds that you find and pretend they were never there :)

You don't need nanners or balls to have pollination. I believe what you meant by that is that none of your other plants Hermied or was Male in order to produce the pollen that pollinated the plant with the seeds. I would just let them go, since the plant with the seeds is not going to produce any pollen. Just keep an eye out for any pollen sacks that might show up on it. to each is own, but the plant has already been pollinated so THC production is gonna be low anyways. Hope this helps

Your level of understanding about anything to do with growing weed is nearly zero. You continually spout bad advice on things you have no clue about. Only MJ pollen will pollinate MJ, otherwise everything would be seeded as there are numerous kinds of pollen spores in the air at all times. Pollen is so thick on my deck today it's like yellow dust, and plants are sitting on it.

Just because YOU BELIEVE any pollen will pollinate MJ does not make it so.

Do newbies a favor and STFU with your poor, wrong and misguided advice.

Thanks for all the replies, yes what I meant was they're were no visible hermies or males. Since there is only maybe two weeks left I'm gonna let them go. I had a feeling it was happening without any visual proof just because the bud growth had really slowed down for the last couple weeks compared to some of my other grows. They also went through a lot of stress to be honest. On two seperate occasions the fittings that hold my support poles across the top of my tent broke and on both occasions they dropped my 600w air cooled on top of the plants. I also had to do quite a bit of training throughout flower because they both got too big for the tent. Lesson learned! Oh well ill let them go I wasn't so much worried about it doing more damage to the seeded plants because I realize the damage is done, I was more concerned with my girls in veg as they are ordered seeds and these were just a bagseed grow of swiss cheese and a no name strain I dubed ydk "you don't know" lol but again thanks for the input good to see people still willing to help

Same exact thing happened to me a week ago on a jilly bean. I decided to let it go. I dont see any male sacs or anything, anywhere.
Weird. But, my lights go off at 7pm, with a window open. If im not home to close the window, get an extra hour of light. Prob what fucked mine up

hey bluegass as am I, you can believe what you want but myself i wouldn't trust my buds with any pollen what so ever. read up on breeders using powdersto seed there crops for seeds. it's your call good luck.

Ok,ok... can't we all just get along.. shewww!! Boy it sure gets heated over mj growing!! Lol.. although, I do understand the fact that it isn't a good thing when "newer" growers try to teach others either misread information, or stuff theve read by other misinformed growers.. all it does is create a shit ton of confusion, and heated threads such as this 1..
If in doubt, and you don't trust another growers information, do some readineither here on RIU's search, or on the net. There is a lot of valuable information about all sorts of growing techniques out there its unreal.. well, I hope everything can get resolved, and everyone keep up the good work with your girls!! Keep it green!! :mrgreen: you guys take er easy, and play nice. ;)

My plants did that got free bag seed prob herms so femmed...bug when i started smoking it i found seeds got maybe 10 seeds for 6oz...now of its good smoke u got emergency seeds

Still laughing at the thought of mj getting pollinated by any kind of pollen. Lets say we cross mj with honeysuckle or daisies. That way every vine or open field will produce monster crops for us. Who knew it was that easy??????
