I've been using rice hulls, pumice, and lava rock for a couple years now. Rice hulls break down fairly fast, but the rocks don't degrade at all. I don't use perlite for that reason.

I'm a fan of rice hulls though and just got another big bag from BAS on the Black Friday sale.

I use it as a mulch too.

And I try to wear a mask anytime I'm playing in the soil, or with most dry amendments. I look pretty cool walking around town too.

I wanna get some rice hulls in my next grow, they break down into carbon the plants can use as well I believe…the brewers supply sells rice hulls near me.

I moved it to the veg tent and it is praying to the light now...I'll definitely keep it as long as I can just to see how it turns out. I ended up prepping 5-6 more beans after a week and a half of waiting on it. This little White Widow that popped up yesterday seems eager for some solo cup livin.

day 13, been droopy past few days, watered yesterday AM…perked up afterwards then overnight this again. watering just to runoff.
temps overnight 81/50%RH. what do you think?
