Soil?

Hi everyone. I finally recieved my seeds for my first grow. Im just starting with 2 easyryders aka Lowryder#2 X Auto AK47. I went and bought some soil from wal mart it is Miracle Grow Organic Choice 0.10-0.05-0.05 I was just wondering if this soil would be something good to start with? and if it is what nutes would i have to give later on in there life. and if not what i should do. please bare with me i am kinda new to this but have been reading alot am still in the learning process:).:lol:
 
Oh also I am going to be starting this grow with CFL's.... I have a barn to use once i got this patted down:P but we'll talk about that later on.

That MG soil should do you fine for your entire grow. Autos normally finish in about 70 days +/- a few. That MG soil will time release nutes for the entire time. Unfortunately the nutes it releases are higher in nitrogen (the 1st number) then P & K the 2nd and 3rd numbers. You need more P&K than you do N for autos.

Let them grow dmalle, if you start adding nutes you will end up in a shit sandwich like so many on here do.

Thanks for the help!! I can scrap that soil and buy some other if it will make more grow better. Does anyone know where i can find this foxfarms or anything else what would work better then the shit i got? what would be good numbers as far as nitrogen and p & k. Thanks again.!
 
Another question... I have a little box that i built and for an intake and exhaust i am using two computer fans they say 12 volts each and i am using a and power supply from a cell pohone or something it says it is 7.5 volts so i am under powering them a bit according to that however they seem to work fine. I just snipped the end off and spliced into it. i was just wondering if under powering them could cause a fire or is a hazzard in any sort of way??any help would be awesome as i am a little nervous about running it right now.
 
You can find fox farms at most hydro shops or you can order it online. Try and google it. Hopefully somewhere in your area carries it.

the fans will run on 7 volts w/out a problem but your supply might not have enough amps to power them. after running for a few hours,feel the transformer,warm is OK but if its hot you may overheat it.I doubt it will start a fire but it is possible that it will quit and let your box overheat.
as for the soil,dont toss it -some soils might be better than MC organic but it will work fine.about 4-5 weeks in,when buds start to form, add a little ferts that are high in P&K
BTW,I always run my soil through a screen w/ 1/4 in holes to get the larger stuff out and add some dolimite lime for PH control and some perlite.
remember its a weed,it will grow!
