real sog (not scrog like i said i was too stoned) must be done with stretchy sativas. directly in 12/12 out of the dome. you must finish with 2 feet plants, if you put 20 per lamp you will blow the g/w

My best SOG yields come from sativa dom hybrids. They only get about 1 week for the clones to veg, and then straight under my 1khps at about 7-8 inchs tall. They finish between 20-30 inches tall and are nice big single colas.

Yep for sure, and really really strain and growth dependent. I have other strains that I keep because they are dank, but that do not yield nearly as well because they just don't have the same growth characteristics. One of my best was a sativa dom White widow I ran for over 4 years. The only problem it had as a culitvar was that the buds got so thick that I had to watch it carefully for mold. I almost religiously had to pull it about a week early (9weeks) to ensure I didn't have issues. It was super dank though, smoked it for years and never got tired of it

I have a tent full of plants in a SOG and most are indicas or indica dominant. You can do it with any strain.

Yes you can do it with any strain but it would be best done with a stretchy plant. Straight from seed or you can veg 1-2 weeks and then but her to flower.

I had to raise my fixed air cooled by wiring it to the top frame of the tent because those young indicas stretched enough that bud tips were getting crispy. Heat at canopy was 85 and good air movement around. I thought I’d be safe with a little 9 shorties just to get personal while I veg outdoors here in Alaska. My buddy told me I should have waited at least 2 weeks more because they were pretty short. Untopped but definitely supercropped so they would have been even taller. Honestly I was surprised. I am surprised
Check this top on a Cherry Bomb. I don’t have a selfie stick so this is as far away as I can get. But it’s as long as from my elbow to what you see. On 11/13 no less. First time I’ve ever tried it. Not the last and sativas are next. I was advised to not let my clones get to 12” to put them in 12/12. Durban Poison next. Add: I’m 6’ tall and wear XXL gloves on my old skinny hands if that helps size this whale.
Another CB has a cola that’s 22” but it’s long and even like a fat snake. These have to be staked as they get so heavy they just start falling over. From free bag seed from a legal retail here in Alaska.
Add 2: the bud tested at 26% THC in required lab analysis here through Fairbanks Analytics. As required by law.
