Thanks gypsy, gave u some plus rep for helping me out. Here's a couple more questions for ya.

1. So 6-7 inch tall pot would be optimal but the biggest thing that i'm worried about is the diameter. I want to put as many plants on my trays as possible. So is there a minimum width pot that i should go with? In other words whats the smaller diameter pot that i could go with with out affecting the plants, i'm guessing four because of the rw cubes

2. Do you fill the pots with hydroton or some similar medium?

Thanks again

yes, dont go below 5''.....mine are 5.5" square pots.....gotta get the square ones, it just makes stuff easy. grow 4 per sq ft and you get 32 in a 2x4 and 64 in a 4x4

[/QUOTE]hydroton is it, perlite works ...hell it all works but lots of us use hydroton:mrgreen:
hope that helped

OK! Shoot!

I just got up (shame on you!) to measure the 1 gallon pot..

the ones I use are 6.25" in diameter...

I use RW cubes and have been experimenting with, and not really liking, Rapid Rooter Plugs...

I like the RW because I can water it by weight when cloning... and then I just keep it dry, above the flood level...

I do it just like this...

Thanks again
Sure thing...

Thanks bugs,

gave u some rep too, you and gypsy definitely got your SoG techniques down it sounds like. Hydroton is prolly going to be my medium of choice but do u still use the 4 inch rw cubes or do u use the standard 1 inch cubes?

A couple more q's for you guys.

1. The straight 4 inch cubes in the trays sounds so gooo though. On a 4x4 tray minus the fill and drain i can fit 109 plants. Thats about half as many. I am probaply going to do it in the pots just from asking questions and reading through threads but double the plants sounds awesome. I know there will be a lot less problems with the spaced out plants in the pots but i am concerned about yeild. Does anyone have a pro's and con's list with the two styles....lol i know it's reidiculous i just think it'd be cool

thanks again folks

U are the shizznit gypsy, Everyone on here is so helpful. I will be doing Sog, and will not be doing any vegging, unless others advise otherwhise. I think this is the lollipop method that some people use on here but it seems like they veg for a week or two. Is no veg not the lollipop method too? I guess it's all about growing the single cola style plant though eh?

It all depends on the size of the clone...

If you want to start flowering at 10", but take 5" clones, you will need to veg...

If you want to flower 10" clones and cut 10" clones, there is no need for vegging...

Lollipop is the same as single cola...:-P
