So there's this road...

I am a medical grower in my state, and one of the patients I grow for is giving me a decent little house on 2 acres to live on for the rest of the year in a pretty good area to grow. It's in a pretty rural area, but nonetheless my field is slightly visible from the main road the house is off of. Ideally I would like to block view of about 200-250 linear feet. I don't really have the funds to build a solid wood fence, so I'm trying to explore some options for a temporary solution.. I was thinking about some ways to make something with tarp work, but I don't really have any solid ideas yet.. It needs to last the season, but there will be 2 people there so simple repairs and maintenance won't be hard. Figured some people must have issues with this? I was planning and planting next week, and just saw the property for the first time this past weekend, and the patient assured me before it was out of view, but it's not. So I am trying to figure out something quick so I can gather what I need. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Run some twine to small posts or even stick banged into the ground, plant some sort of climbing fine, natural fence. Maybe something that has thorns for added protection

You can buy rolls of bambo fencing at home depot. Pretty cheap & you can't see thru it

Good luck

On a limited budget a think the tarp idea is pretty decent. As far a mounting it up my advice would be to get say 2 2x4s or 2 4x4s or even some nice thick sticks laying around. Drive them into the ground the about 3 feet or so like fence post then tie each corner of the tarp to a post, Like bottom left corner to left pole top left corner to left pole etc. Also as far as morning glories go use them combined with moon flowers and criss cross them like others suggested. I've grown both moon flowers and morning glories and oh man do they grow like someone stated you should have no problem getten them to 6ft or taller by june. And you can watch moon flowers open up under the moon its actually pretty sick.

How far apart should I put the stakes for the morning glory? And would fishing line or something like that work as the support? Gonna go grab all my supplies tomorrow and get things going in a couple days!

6-10 feet apart and they will follow fishing line, string, yarn, sticks, and eventually each other

yup like drive said just put the stakes about 6-10 and run fishing wire. The morning glories should cover that gap over in no time, can't wait to see how this actually turns out. Perhaps post some pics when finished?

Awesome, thank you guys. This was giving me such a headache, but should be a bit easier now. Actually excited to see how it comes out. Should be fairly awesome to the eye with the landscape I'm in with 200 or so feet of this.. Guess I've got a little work ahead. Besides morning glories and moon flowers, anything else I should consider? With the space I'm using might be nice to have a bit of variety. When I do the fishing line... I'm trying to get an idea of how much to use.. What kind of spacing am I generally looking for? Am I trying to make a web of sorts or will they grow on straight lines tightly spaced?

Am going to start a grow journal soon I think; probably once they are all settled in their final containers next week.. Taking on a fairly large grow on my own for the first time so I'm sure I'll need a few more tips along the way. Will definitely post pics of this. I picked up some 6' green privacy screening as well for extra security, it's fairly translucent so I'm going to put it behind the vine fence as an extra barrier so anyone who drives by see's the lovely flowers :)

I usually just make a checked board pattern. with like wood going up then across spaced about every foot or so, maybe every half foot depending on preference. If you have access to lactate cut that in large pieces like 5 foot long 7 foot tall whatever you prefer, I hope you can picture what im trying to explain hahah. As far as the grow journal goes im all in for that i'd definitely sub it. The green privacy is an excellent idea, gave me some ideas for this year bro that i wouldn't have thought of.
