So Much Sweeter the Second Time Round (I Hope)

removed all of the fan leaves in a bid to get the lower half to ripen up, they are nearing completion now. turns out there was a lone caterpiller in there that had eat a couple of leaves the fat little fucker.



these buds are redonkulous,i can't fit my two hands around them, starting to get really hard too. i have seen 6 foot plants under 1k lights still not have as fat buds as these babies.

yeah that is the tent i set up for my mate, i basically did everything and gave him a feed schedule etc. it;s his first grow and he has no idea how good it is, 1g per watt from a first grow is good going, i'm pretty sure thats what he will get. it isn't a flood and drain, it is my take on a run to waste system, canna recomends this style when using coco.

i've got all the equipment for two more of these, gonna start a proper journal with all the details soon.

i'm still fucking about with my own set up at the minute, need some cooltubes i think, it's way too hot in there.

Dude i wish my first grow ended up like that, you are totally right he has no clue what he has going for him

is that a mix of hydroton and coco or just hydroton on the drain to waste? i wish i could get my grow to look like that and im way past my first haha! whats the main nutes in the feeding schedule you made for him or is it the same as yours?

i made a chart of how many ml per litre and how many litres per plant and what day to feed them on, all he has to do is follow the instructions on the list. i've been going round to check on them about once a week, it's nice leaving a gap inbetween visits, you get a nice shock with how much they have grown in the time i haven't seen them.

the pots are 5.5 ltr, we used 5l of canna coco pro+ with a lyer of hydroton on top, i like the hydroton because you can water the plants at the back without having to move all of the plants out the way, just lean over and pour from height.

they get fed:
canna coco a+b for the first 80% of 12/12
canna rhizotonic for the first 20% of 12/12
canna pk 13/14 for 7-10 days about 30% into 12/12
atami bloombastic from 50%-90% of 12/12
superthrive is used sparingly incase of shock etc.



sorry for the late reply, been moving house, finally settled in now so its time to set up my new grow op. harvesting the mini sog tommorrow so i'll post some more pics.

Superthirive is the shit for sure i use the green label to roll organic but i have abottle of red superthirve in case of emergencys

cut down the majority of the small plants this weekend, finishing the rest tonight.

some really nice buds on these plants, see if you can tell which one my favourite is.








got a bad mite infestation in my flowering tent at the minute, luckily they are not in flowering yet so gonna try and deal with them this week and make sure i never have to get clones from other people ever again. thats the last two times i have been given clones with mites on them, it's a lot worse this time.

sorry to hear about the mites. went through the same thing with getting clones awhile back and stopped growing.

ripped out the worst offenders and took my mother plant out into the yard. going to leave it there for the time being, i sprayed all the plants with pyrethium and will keep checking and spray again in a couple of days. also have some neem oil product which i will treat the plants with once i know the plants are clean. i'll post an update of my lst sog bed grow when it gets interesting and the mites are gone. been smoking some lovely lemon skunk, the purest sativa high i have ever felt, i'm lovin it, chilled yet alert, daytime/party/poker playing weed i'd say.

i love the smoke of this stuff, so light and energetic, really clean smoke too.
i'm happy with the results of the grow but i could kick myself for not having clones ready to replace the plants we cut down at the weekend. waiting on some blue cheese cuttings that i made last week and some critical+ cuttings i did on monday, no signs of any roots yet though.

one of the 5 hanging lines was dry yesterday so i'm assuming that the rest will be done friday, i'll update with final weight then, gonna be heavy no doubt.

nice well i cant wait to see some pics of the harvest and see your weights for that one tent.

finished drying the buds now, bagged it all up last night. got a total of 1090 grams of dried bud from 40 plants, that is 0.91gpw. the best first grow i've ever heard of, my mate seemed pleased with it, i certainly was.

a lot of the plants yielded well over an ounce, a couple of them were over two ounces, some however never even give us a half. two lessons learnt from this grow is, take more clones and select the best ones(i only took 52, 6 didn't make it and i threw another six stragglers because there wasn't room for them), i also i think adding the pk boosters later on will help as some of the smaller plants were stunted by the early addition of a bloom booster, they simply weren't ready for it.


all in all a job well done i think, on to the next one now.
