So how many people use CO2 on their grows, and whats the results like?

im going to have it in an LED tent so the heat will help! How much heat you talkin in a 4x4x7?
depends on the size and type of gen. More burners, more heat, pilot light versus electric ignition. Pilot burns all the time and adds a little heat. elect ign. only adds heat when on.

Not sure if a burner is ok for a 4x4 tent. They get super hot. Even the Electric starts get super hot. At least mine does

wow! and this is the advanced cultivation section!? it's obvious most of you don't have a clue or aren't using co2. I have been running the same strain for over a year now in a very controlled setting and this is "my" take on co2 in "my" grow room. "my" plants respond better to ppms in the 1400-1600 range verses 1000-1200 range, but that is with temps 80-83 at which 83 sets the fans off for fresh air bringing temps back down to about 78 degrees at which point the co2 comes back on. so for "me" the higher ppms work better probably because of the higher temps. co2 seems to "me" to increase the metabolism of "my" plants and finishing times to "me" seem shorter with verses without, but that's just "me".

What's with all the insults dude?

not trying to insult anyone. it's obvious most of these posts are by people not running co2. do you want "real" results or just everybody's opinion. sorry if I came off like a dick.

Way too much bitching in this thread. I bumped this for help not to read my co2 is heavier bro. Anyway I'm going to see if they have smaller burners and less porous grow tents before I even attempt.

If you don't want to spring for all the exPensive bullshit then try exhale co2 bags their $25 and good for up to 6 mnths they should creat about 1200 ppm in a setup like that

Pretty iffy about those friend. Pretty sure were all talking about complete control of enviourment.

There's the option of not running all the burners so that shouldn't be a prob. Anyone recommend a descent controller? So many to choose from of course. Also don't know how the co2 bags are even in business lol.

If heat and tent(grow area) space is an issue use a small wood burning stove and install the burner in it. Pipe and draft it into the tent(grow area) giving it time to cool down a bit... Could be safer in the long run also.

2 types of rooms, sealed or open
open room brings in air exchanges for c02 replacement
sealed room, no intakes or outtakes, you supply c02.
trying to supply extra c02 in an open room is a waste of time and money
Not true. I set up sealed rooms all the time with intakes and exhaust ports. A controlled environment requires all systems to work in conjunction with each other. A true sealed room will require a fresh air intake and exhaust to allow control of humidity and temperatures. Sensors will be placed accordingly to control systems like c02, fire retardant, high heat alarms, moisture alarms and many others in a properly sealed room. A sealed room without intake and exhaust is a...well...coffin. In either respect I believe most growers would benefit spending their cash on other items first, dial in their own experience and that should give them their answer on the c02 question. JAS

if it's got an intake and exhaust, it's not exactly a sealed room is it? some ppl vent to lower humidity and temp (not fully sealed). that would use less electricity than a sealed room, but burn thru co2 like crazy. other ppl run a split ac and dehumidifier in a completely sealed room (much better control, less co2 use, more electricity).

I am a first time grower and I bought a 10lbs bottle with a really nice regulator (no controller yet, those basterds are expensive!) on it and as soon as I got it home... of course, I dug into the research a bit more I realized I am personally not ready for using CO2. But what is blowing my mind right now about this thread is that there are quite a few VERY experienced growers chiming in and none of you seem to agree on anything about CO2 usage.

I think I am just going to sit on my new CO2 toys for for the duration of my first.... and maybe second grow and then try using it. It bothers me that this seems to be such a controversial issue.
