Smell?

Shout out to everyone who has helped me my buds are dispensery quilty but the smell I just haven't got yet they look good and are very strong they smell awesome while growing but once dried the smell doesn't come back

Sounds like you’re drying too fast - that will result in the dreaded ‘hay’ smell and loss of terp profile. I like to go with hanging the full plant, in 60 F at 60% RH for 7-10 days - allows for a nice slow dry. Then into jars that get burped regularly over the next while to complete a cure.

I agree with lakeside. This is usually down to your drying practices, but it could also be due to harvesting too soon, which a ton of people do.

Like lakesidegrower said, hang dry the whole plant slowly. Also look into dry trimming. My buds always used to smell like hay before I switched to dry trimming. That'll help them to dry out slowly instead of cutting them up while fresh.

Pretty flowers with no smell is on par with my local dispensary. They sterilize all their flower with some crazy ozone doodad so it doesn’t fail microbial testing and it kills 90% of the terps.

Hate not having smell lol it might be I have just smelt the same plants for so long my nose is dead to it I opened up a jar and people from across the room went crazy about the smell

I never really considered harvesting too soon as a factor - good tip

I only speak from recent experience with proper drying and curing - I saw my grow space now to get the job done, being able to perfectly dial in temp and humidity have been key for me. I would also recommend picking up some of those tiny hygrometers on amazon that you can toss in ur jars during the cure; it helped me build confidence in getting it right.

I was just trimming up some white widow today - just straight burnt plastic, gas and the unmistakable smell of fuzzy peach candy, when I realized it I tripped out lol
