Smell With Small Grow

ultra cheap, i saw a picture of someone who had taped a bunch of fish filters with carbon in them together and stuck that on the end of his exhaust.

haha yea thats where i got the activated carbon. turns out the filters i put in my fishtank are just activated carbon. haha who knew

I have a friend that has a small grow beneath some steps with one plant cooking (female). He has a small 5" fan cooling the light and and inline fan sucking out air and running it through a charcoal scrubber he made himself. He just vents into an adjacent room not outside, a side room in the garage. Seems to work. The biggest problem he had is keeping it cool in the summer. He's using a 250 wt hps and a shop light, about 88 watts, set up vertically. If you're worried about smells, you can keep a lot of house plants around they filter the air.
