Skunky Papaya & Aurora Indica grow

I was not planing on making a journal for this grow, So don't expect to see weekly up dates on this one. I am making this journal more for notes to myself, So that I can remember what I've done and when I started the plants. Thank you.

This grow will consist of two strains, Aurora Indica, and my own strain Skunky Papaya. I've gotten all of my seeds from Nirvana shop, except for the ones I grew myself, but they too originally came from a Nirvana seed.

Skunky Papaya;
I Had two Feminized plants growing side by side, Super Skunk, And Papaya. Somehow the Super Skunk mistakenly turned into a hermaphrodite, and pollinated the Papaya Plant. I did not notice until I harvested, and I got about 30 seeds off of the papaya plant. I believe these seeds to be Feminized! I planted 5 seeds to find out, and all surprisingly have sprouted.

Aurora Indica;
I got these seeds on sale from the daily deal that Nirvana used to have about 4 months ago. They are regular seeds, so I planted 3 with the hopes of getting one female for a mother plant. All have sprouted.

November 20th,
I started to sow the seeds in a wet paper towel, and within 4 days they all sprouted a tap root. It would have normally only taking 24-48 hours under a dome with a heating mat, but I let a friend use it and I am waiting to get it back.

November 23rd,
I planted all the seeds into 4 inch square pots filled with Black Gold Organic potting mix. I then put the 8 plants on the heating pad under the dome, and at this time I still have the plants in 24 hours a day of total darkness. A day or two later they all broke the surface of the soil, and then I turned on the lights. I have my light timer set to 18 hours on 6 hours off.

Lighting;
For the vegging cycle I am using a 4 foot, 4 bulb, T5 Florescent light fixture made by Hydro Farm. The bulbs I am using are 4 four foot 54 watt F54HO High Output T5 Fluorescent bulbs. For Flowering I use a HTGSupply Ultimate 400w HPS Grow Light. I hope to be upgrading to a 600watt with a digital ballast soon!

LOL I noticed this morning when i was watering my plants that I still had the 3000k bulbs in my light fixture, I'm putting the 6400k bulbs in right now! lol

Tomorrow makes one week since I sowed the seeds, they all look good so far! :clap:

I've very excited about this grow, it is the first time I am planting seeds from a plant I grew, and I think it is a bran new strain I made myself by mistake! And the best part is I think the seeds may be Feminized.

Things are looking good so far, every single plant is off to a great start. I added 1.25 ML per half gallon of Snow Storm Ultra, to the water when I watered them today. It is supposed to be good for the roots of new plants and cuttings. By next weekend I will need to transplant to a 1 gallon pot.

I plan to flower all 5 of the Skunky Papaya right away on week 3 or 4 of vegging! I really don't care about how much bud I get out of them. I just want to make sure all 5 are female, so I will know if I have feminized seeds or not.

The Aurora Indica I will let grow until I can pull a clone off of her. Then I will put the clone directly in the flowering room, so I can see if it is male or female. I hope to get at least one female for a mother plant, if I get more I will flower the other/others right away.

The 8 seedlings are now 3 weeks old, and looking great. This week I plan on transplanting them all to 1 gallon pots. I need to get to the store though and buy some more soil. Nothing else to report as of yet!

Looking healthy man, subed. I got 3 aurora indicas growin also.
Cool, I said it before and I'll continue to say it, " Aurora Indica Is my all time favorite strain!" I can't wait to be able to flower another one.
I also just bought some Flowered NY Power Diesel, 2 nights ago (which is part Aurora Indica) and it was some good tasting bomb ass weed! Highly recommended!

Ya don't you have a journal of an aurora indica scrog? If your the one im thinking of it looked amazing.
Yes that was me , thank you. This time around I will not be doing a scrog, because I will have a few plants flowering at the same time. I plan on flowering the Skunky Papaya, in about 2 weeks, and at that time I will cut one clone off of each of the Aurora Indica plants. Then flower it to see which plants are female, the best looking female will be my mother plant.

It has been 4 weeks now, and last night I topped or fimmed 7 out of the 8 plants. I plan on flowering the 5 Skunky Papaya plants starting on Saturday, that will make 5 weeks from seed to flower.

Friday the 17th I transplanted from the small square pot I started the seeds in, to 1 gallon square pots.

After I transplanted I feed my plants for the first time , I gave them 2tsp of big bloom and 1.5 tsp of grow big per gallon of water (that is about 1/3rd strength). I only used 1/2 of the gallon of mixed nutes.

I've been having a problem with my 4 foot 4 bulb florescent light fixture. It keeps on blowing bulbs. I noticed 1 blown just a week after replacing all of them. then about a week later I looked and only one was working!! I called HTG and complained and I ended up buying 4 more replacement bulbs (this time I am saving my receipt). They said If I continue to have that problem to bring my fixture into the store and they will check it out. So for now I am using three 3000k T5's and one 6400k T5 for vegg, :peace:

I just got my replacement light bulbs in from HTG today, (that was fast shipping)! I have decided to replace all 4 of the light bulbs this time, and save the old ones for replacements. Last time I did it the other way around. Hopefully they last me a long time this time around...lol And I'm for sure going to save my recipe this time so if they do blow out I can get free replacement. :peace::peace:

subscribed. stuff looks good so far man. can't wait to see some results and learn what i can!
Happy to have ya along! This will be a style grow, unlike my other scrOG style grows. My goal is to start flowering the Skunky Papaya right away at about 8 inches tall. Maybe even start on Friday or by Monday the latest. With the Aurora Indica I'm just looking to find a mother plant. I will cut clones off of each one and put them in the flower room just long enough to see which ones are female. :)

I fed them today for the second time, still only 1/3 strength nutes. I also like to water a little with just plain water before I water with nutes, (especially when the soil is very dry). I like to fed them like that because i feel if you water with just fertilized water when the soil is very dry, that you over fertilize by volume. And that could cause or lead to burning. I try to feed twice per week, using only PHed water in between waterings. My next feeding will be at about 1/2 strength, and I feel with the fox farm line up I'm using you really don't want to mix it much stronger than 1/2 strength, (especially for the plant we are growing).:mrgreen:

They are all between 6 and 8 inches tall, I uploaded some pics. You can also see where I fimmed/topped the plants a few days ago, they are already recovering.:blsmoke:
