I was going to say super skunk, but I think because it turned Hermie on me I really did not like it. I'm sure it is because when a plant turns Hermie and started to form seeds ,it stops producing THC, and it would have been a lot more potent had it not turned. I still have feminized seeds left so I will try again when I can

I took a very close look to day and we have some unfortunate news. It now looks like I have 1 female and 4 hermaphrodites. 2 of the 4 had a great deal of pollen sacks on them so I already cut them down. The other two only have a few pollen sacks on them, and they are on the very bottom part of the plants.

Can I pick off the pollen before it opens???? I'm thinking about finishing all three plants but I'm not sure yet......any suggestions??

Aurora Indica, I am clearing off a spot today to put the Aurora Indica clones into the flowering room. They have not rooted yet, but they are looking very good so far. I'm just flowering them to see what parent plants are female, so I don't really think I have to root them first.....Do I ?? My guess is that I have 1 male and two females by the look of the parent plants. One plant is much taller and has 2 inches between inter nodes. The other two plants are beauties! Short, Bushy, compact, less than 1 inch between inter nodes! It would be real nice if I'm right, then I can keep one for a mom and flower the other! :)

damn. that's really unfortunate to hear. I would gut all the hermi plants man. just clone the female plants. Pulling them pollen sacks off will stress that plant.
I would hate to see a missed pollen sack spoil your grow.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, I may just abort the whole grow all together. One plant is not worth the space it takes up unless I do a scrog grow, and if I was to do a scrog,, I would have had to start it a long time ago. I have my Aurora Indica mother plants going, and soon I will know which one is female ( in about 1 week),then I'll have clones ready to go! I will only be growing Aurora Indica for a wile, after that. I want to try a few different thing and I want to be using the same strain when I do it. And what better strain to use than my Favorite Aurora Indica.
I most likely will cut down the Hermies , and maybe leave the one female if it stays a female. I will keep you all posted.. Thanks all, for you interest and advice!

I am just over two weeks into the flowering cycle and it is now official,,, All Plants are if fact Hermaphrodites! The last plant showed sign of pollen sacks this morning. Therefore, I have decided to abort the whole "Skunky Papaya" grow, and just stick with buying Feminized seeds for the time being. I really don't have the time or money for any experiments like this right now.

I will continue this journal for the Aurora Indica experiment, I just hope I do get at least one female out of the bunch! After I find a mother plant I will start a new journal. I will plant a feminized seed tonight for back up, so i know I have something on the way that is female 100%. When i decide what I'll let you know, I have a few strains to choose from.

Papaya, is the strain I choose! I'll start to germinate tonight.

I'm building a new grow room! I just got a nice safe spot to use, and I have big plans for it. First off, this time I have a respectable sized room to work with,( which is bad ass)! And secondly,, I just upgraded all of my equipment to top of the line (or real close to it)!

New Equipment;

Sun System 10 Crop Master 1000 watt switchable ballast.

Large Adjust A Wing reflector with mogul socket.

Large light spreader.

Hortilux EYE Super HPS 1000 watt light bulb.

2 gallon flat with wall paint.

10 5 gallon buckets, with overflow tray.

25 feet of 6 mil. black & white poly.

That should be good enough to get me started in my new room. After my first grow I will buy a vent fan and filter system. I will let you all know when I start my new grow, I am still working on finding a perfect Aurora Indica mother plant! I am very excited and can't wait to get started!

Are you finished building the flower room?
not yet, I did start to paint but it still needs another coat. Flat white interior wall paint with primer already in it. I also have a contractor coming in next week to rebuild the door frame and to install a steel door with a heavy duty lock. I told him I plan to use the room for storage and that I wanted/needed it to be secure. I am also going to plywood over the window, so from the outside all you will see is the white mini blinds. The other sheet of plywood i will screw into the ceiling above where I plan to put the light. That will make it easy for me to install the light and ballast to the ceiling very easily. I may do a scrog grow I'm not sure yet. I'll start a journal when the room is ready
