Skip the CFL's: The $20 150w complete HPS with ballast and bulb Link

I'm paranoid about that stuff when it's someone who pm's me and wants to meet up or whatever, but not about a legit company that's obviously been around a while. They're not even oriented towards growing. If it was a sting they would be selling at least one grow light that's actually labeled as a grow light.

I have sun grow systems and hortilux bulbs but im looking for something cheap to add side lighting during flowering.....Do u think this light would do a good job....Do the bulbs they send grow well?

Unfortunately they work just as well as a sun systems 150w...

I say unfortunately because you might have paid enough for that to buy 5 of these.

I hope you aren't wasting money on a small hortilux bulb. You'd be better off getting a larger light and running cheap bulbs, there's no point at all in buying hortilux bulbs for small lights.

I use hortilux bulbs I doubt these are as good but might work for side lighting or for a few plants

Yea, you're high, I know you are using hortilux bulbs, and a brand name Sun Systems light. You might even be wearing Addidas or Nike shoes but that won't make you run faster than me either.

You are paying lots of money for a small difference in lumens if you are running a small hid with hortilux bulbs, and I won't even begin to talk about what you wasted on the sun systems name...

By the time you have run two hortilux bulbs you could have bought a cheap 1000w ballast and bulb which would stomp on what you have or these little $20 lights.

Expensive bulbs make no sense at all in small (low wattage) lights.

So u think they grow as well as hortilux?? I f so I might buy a few...do u think I should go with the vapor lamp and make a reflector or do these with the housing work or do they get to hot? I dont know never used it

dude knock it off with those comments everytime someone asks about these cheap lights...every hps has different amounts of colors in it...and Im using a 400 and 1000 watter so its not really low wattage

Dude knock what off? You came into my thread asking about these lights and I replied accordingly. I'm sure you're not happy about what I have to say if I say things like that but it's true. You got nothing for buying brand name, you just spent more.

Now if you meant I assumed wrong and you're running 1400w then ok, I was wrong... These won't do shit for you depending on whether you are running your 1400w properly or are trying to cover too much area. If you're trying to cover too much area then sure, these might help, but that's debateable.

The way you were talking it seemed as though you were just all full of brand names and comparing the same or similar wattage as if it were the difference between a ford and a ferrari, and it doesn't work that way. You came in here saying you doubt these work as good as your brand name shit... That was just as insulting as antying I have said in response. You should apologise to me for that before I should have to apologise to you for anything.

A 250w ford would stomp on a 150w ferrari... If you compare a 150w hortilux to any no name 150w hps bulb you'll see it's all of 1000 lumens difference if you trust the stats, which I don't, but either way the difference is still completely insignificant.

There really aren't different colors in hps, or however you want to say it. Marketing works very well though, it's like we're all trained to trust brand names are better.

Still wondering what the color output is....Is it comparable to say a hortilux....I bought my lights/systems 7 years ago and didnt have a wide selection of systems....so u take the vapor light out of the housing or can they run in it ok

Color output is around 2700K and its 15000 lumens for 150w.

The color spectrum isn't going to matter much, especially if they are for flower. If you are just using them for side lights, you will probably end up with more than $20 more worth of product.

The color is probably right around the 3000k mark. If you want a different spectrum, and you really want to spend a lot of money on something that isn't needed, buy a new brand name bulb that makes you feel comfortable. But for such a small light, there is no need for a high priced bulb, just as mentioned before.

Well I wouldnt know I dont grow with baby light I have a 600/400/and 1000 watt system...I cant even count how many ki's Ive grown over the last 7 years chump

However if u dont wanna call people chumps I agree these light will get the job done and Im looking into for side lighting myself

The bulb position is important only use that if you plan to mount it just like that, or make sure the bulb is multi position sounds dumb but its not..Id get the flood lamp version for $40.42 it will direct more of light to your plants

They are universal bulbs, work either way. But technically horizontal is almost always best lumens wise.

If that's true that guy should find a new hobby, that's pretty sad.
Take classes at a community college or do some yoga or Tai Chi or whatever where you can have fun, relieve your stress, not be a jerkoff and maybe meet a girl and get laid.
