Single branch flowering?

Hey guys. I'm vegging 3 plants right now, and I'm really curious to find out if theyre males or females. They have a couple weeks left of veg, but they're a pretty big size already. There was something I read about tying a loose bag around a single branch during the light hours, so it forces one branch into 12/12 and it'll show sex in a week or two.

So I'm curious on how I should get around to doing it. Do I do it around of of the bottom fan leaves? Or should I use a shoot that has a top towards the bottom?

Will the preflowers show up were it connects to the main stem? Even though the mainstem isnt getting the 12/12?

once approach would be to change to 12/12 for the 2 weeks or so that it takes to sex the plants then go back and vegg
make sure they are good an healthy there is some stress involved

Well the thing is I didnt really wanna do that cuz I have 5 feminized plants as well, and if I do that I'm afraid they'll all hermie.

So I was wondering how exactly bagging a branch worked

Is that even possible? i would think the whole plant would start flowering or it wont flower at all

Well I think it's much like being able to pollinate only a single lower branch to produce a small amount of seeds, making it unnecessary to pollinate an entire plant.

I was lurking around and read up on people advising it, but I was wondering how it really worked

Well i think pollinating is a different story considering pollenating buds is easy to control by just putting pollen where you want seeds


But if this can be done i am interested!

Okay leme know how it goes,

Some advice i would give you is to make sure there is no light whatsoever coming in the bag, also do not open the bag for a full 12 hours or it will not work
