for the butane method no one has said how dry the plant material has to be.......bone dry? mostly dry? or it doesn't matter?

You want it to be completely dried. Otherwise the moisture will fuck up the extraction process.

It wont make you sick, thats just totally Overkill for alcohol dissolve time.
The reason its thick and green is because of all the other crap that got broken down from the alcohol.
If all you put in it was bottom bag, and leafs and shit then it wont make you sick, depending on how much THC was left it might even smoke decent.
Nexttime you make Alcohol extraction oil, pour the Isopropynol over the shawg, then strain it right away. Some people do 2 washes, but if you only do 1 you will get better oil.

Yuck. Rubbing alcohol isn't good for you. You're better off using butane. More of the impurities will evaporate off with butane vs isopropyl. Just make sure you get a butane that is triple charcol filtered or else you'll get garlic like and other nasty tastes in your final product. Vector brand butane works good

The alchohol is completely evaporated... I dunno im prolly just going to toss this crap in the trash and start over.

Iso hash is a mix of hash and hash oil depending on how you make it. Get a razor blade and scrape that shit up and smoke it. I smoked a1/2 gram of hash from some NL's last night with 5 buddies and we couldn't finish it!

Yeah, I wouldn't toss it. As long as the impurities are evaporated you're not going to do any harm to yourself. I just prefer butane because it evaporates better, quicker, and produces a less "gunky" product instead of a blackish goo.

I really wanted to make it with butane..But I couldnt do that...any way..I said screw it and smoked a bowl right now lol..It tastes like hash... And im pretty smoked out hahah..

Be careful when doing a butane extraction. Isopropyl is much safer if you don't have a ventilated space.
I stopped making oil and just make bubble hash these days. It's safer, quicker, and is a 100% organic process. If you have a strain that isn't high in trichomes though, you're going to get more out of your plant making oil vs. bubble hash.

You can buy bubble bags online at a bunch of places or directly from: http://www.bubblebag.com/
They also now have machines that blend the ice and water for you but they're a waste of money IMO. I like the process and think it's fun.

That link is to Part 1 of 8. It's over an hour long I think but the guy in the video takes you through the process in real time. You can skip through a lot of the chit chat and get through it in about 15 minutes if you don't have the time.
I suggest sitting down with some buds and watching all 8 videos. It's a good lesson in making bubble hash

My last posting was on the general process. I forgot you were looking for a cheap way. The only way to really make it cheaper is to look for used bags or just use a 3 bag system instead of an 8 bag system. The benefit of the 8 bag system is so you can get different grades of hash. If you just want one big piece of the same kind of hash the 3 bag system will work fine.

What is shown if the video is a simple Silk screen. Go to any arts and crafts type store and you can pick one up.
Bubble bags are made from Micron blotter cloth. 25micron is usually the lowest.
3 bag systems will usually use 175, 75, 25 micron blotter cloth, just hit up your local fabric store and see what they have.

To me it looks like you have A LOT of impurities going on in that oil. It borderline not smokable (sorry to be telling you this now, a long while after the post).
For making that oil it is as simple as a coffee filter with your skuff in it and a bowl underneath to catch the alcohol after you pour it over your shit. And repeat.
I do not advise you continue using this blender and alcohol method.
