Pretty much anything that comes through that can be calibrated, I do. Leaving less to chance is a good thing.
Yeah I upgraded to a blue lab truncheon thinking it was a must for all hydro growers.

I prefer to use my $7 shitheap meter because it displays exact figures not .2EC intervals like the truncheon. Good to have a couple of options to compare against.

The Bluelab truncheon measures .1 ec intervals.

From the Bluelab website:
"If the flashing lights are alternating between two numbers, the measurement is the value between those two numbers. For example, if the lights are alternating from 0.8EC and 1.0EC, the reading is 0.9EC."

Yes I know I have one. ;)

The point was my cheap ec meter is accurate enough when compared to the truncheon that only gives a range anyway.
