Seedling Process

Did you bury that seed three inches deep or did you add more soil around it, either way it doesn’t look dead so just leave it.

My main reason for asking for the picture was to see if you’re overwatering which you clearly aren’t so that’s good!
I buried it about a half inch down…maybe 1/4 in

Hmm…

I’m not calling you a liar but I’ve started thousands of seeds over the years and I’ve never seen one only grow a half inch tall with cotyledons fully open like that.
You mean that’s typically an indication of it being buried more than half an inch down?

Maybe you don’t know what an inch looks like, ….

Your like ; gasp “Oh my god I don’t have a 2 inch penis after all” bongsmilie
Def didn’t drop them more than half an inch into the soil. Could it be from too much PPFD? I have them in the tent with other plants that are further along vegging under a 200w led but these cups are off to the side. Last I checked PPFD was around 250 but I’ve since shaded them a bit and brought it down to roughly 150 PPFD.

I have a few more in a cup next to this one waiting to pop so I guess I’ll see if this helps…

I’m leaning toward this being an issue of temp/humidity shock. I had successful runs last year and looking back at the photos I can see that I had a warm humidifier right next to the cups so once the domes were removed I probably maintained a similar heat/RH spectrum for them, minimizing any shock…and they didn’t die.

I’ve moved the warm humidifier next to these cups but no domes. We’ll see what happens…

No it’s not from too much PPFD, maybe when you watered it pushed the seed down deep or something. Either that or you re-buried which is no big deal.

Strange. Didn’t re-bury and I swear it was half an inch down. Still looks the same today . Got another one germinating so if it doesn’t look different tomorrow I’ll prob pull it up and drop it in a cup of water while I plant the new one. Believe it or not I have actually revived seeds recently that don’t do well at the start by pulling them out of the dirt and dropping them in water for a day or two…then putting them back in the dirt. Not a 100% survival rate but a worthwhile last ditch effort to save a seed.

Even on a kitchen table. He don't need no stinking tent mang
I have a 5x5 tent I haven't used yet.. plus I normally grow in a garage or a 6x9 walk in closet and a 12x12 bedroom.. I'm currently staying and helping my mom out while my dad is in the hospital.. he's not doing very good... so yes.. these are pictures from a kitchen table grow..
