Grow them yourself and you can not only trip yourself for free for the rest of your life, but you can sell to your buddies and make back the money you put into it. That's right, once you get past the initial price of the supplies, you can then make spore prints from your fruits and from that grow more and more and more.....forever. The entire setup will probably cost you ~$50. So sell 3 eighths to your buddies and you just made $10 and are able to trip for free. ;)

If I were to grow mushrooms myself, and if my friend wanted some, I would probably sell them for $20 and eighth. That's taking into consideration, the time of year, the area I live in, and the availability of naturally grown shrooms. In areas where you can't just go to the closest cow pasture and pick them yourself, the price might be more.

Im a veteran mushroom grower.
and i was selling dirt cheap at $7-$10 a gram. and i know people who were turning around and selling them for $15-$20 a gram. crazy in my opinion, i would never pay that, but people would buy them. i had a regular guy who would buy at $200 an oz. and he would turn around and make that oz disappear over night.

i heard once the rule of thumb was half price of whatever good weed was going for.

it dosnt cost too much to grow, if you do everything yourself. the most expensive part is getting a pressure cooker. which i recommend the 23-quart one on amazon for $81

besides that u just need some canning jars, some wild bird seed, some "vermiculite" some free "tyvek" envelopes from the post office, and a coffee grinder.
and your ready to get started.

after that you need some plastic totes to grow in, no problems.

wheres that? That must hurt the pockets.

I wont pay over 20 an eighth. It better be nothing but grade A flakey gold CAPs only if its 25.

You don't even need the PC. I have never used one. There's ways around it.

there are ways around it, but i dont recommend it.
Save money, time, and effort in the long run if you just buy one from the get go.

the frustration, and impatience of a first time grower is bad enough, without having to add money and weeks waisted on growing contaminations, instead of mushrooms.

I keep a pretty clean house, but I've always thought I was REALLY lucky, because I've never come across a contaminated jar. I use the PF-Tek from the Let's Grow Mushrooms site, by RR from Shroomery. So I just steam sterilize in a big pot with water for 90 minutes. Follow those videos exactly and you will have mushrooms in a month. I'm planning on eating some tonight actually. :D
