A clean house has alot to do with it. I always recommend a PC because there is nothing worse then doing all these jars and a month later realizing it was all a waste and having to start over. Just use the PC and dont worry about it. Peace of mind.I keep a pretty clean house, but I've always thought I was REALLY lucky, because I've never come across a contaminated jar. I use the PF-Tek from the Let's Grow Mushrooms site, by RR from Shroomery. So I just steam sterilize in a big pot with water for 90 minutes. Follow those videos exactly and you will have mushrooms in a month. I'm planning on eating some tonight actually.
