42 watt CFL = 150 watt standard bulb. up to 336 watts on our setup now total. hard for me to believe you can grow with so little power. everyone i ever knew that grew inside used high pressure sodium lights that used at least 1000 watts and cost a lot, and caused a LOT of heat. i've only grown outside, and only once, except for helping my dad 30 years ago. my outside grow was 10 years ago and went well, plants were 4 or 5' tall and 3' across and beautiful when they were found. i didn't scope out the hillside good enough and had them close to a road, fed them one day and just sat for a while admiring them when i heard someone walk away through the brush and get into a car and drive away. was in a drainage and thought it was remote, but didn't climb up high enough to find the gravel road. had been feeling like i was beeing watched, but told myself i was just paranoid. haven't grown since then. pulled them all up and threw into bushes. if i couldn't keep them no one else could either. had an irrigation system rigged and everything. made me CRY
pink- thanks for advice, will build a dome of some kind if i get a sick plant and will try it on some of my next starts to see if they grow faster. as for how much light is enough, i couldn't tell you, i am just trying to flood mine with light. yes, following SeeMoreBuds CFL book as i have no indoor experience. this site will help too, as i have q's i'll post them and keep you updated
thanks, Bullfrog
