Those look great. So you got 4 ounces from 5 plants? That is pretty good. How was the smoke?

i really liked the high ..more of a couch lock for me..of course i havent smoked to many of the good strains people grow here...but it was good for me ..

Sounds good. When you harvested did you use a microscope to check the trichs or just guess ripeness?

Cool. I am checking them periodically with a microscope and they are mostly cloudy with a few clear left. No amber so I am leaving them a bit. Since I have three plants I was going to harvest them at different times so I can test how I like it.

The plants were thirsty this morning so I gave #1 a clearex solution and the other two got plain water. Oh, can't forget about #4...it was thirsty too, so it got what will probably be its second to last feeding. #2 and 3 are lanky so I put some twist tie around the base to hold the branches in a while ago and undid them today to let them open up and air out. It is obvious that they are coming to the end of their lives. The leaves are slowly yellowing and dieing off and the buds look frostier and frostier every day. Well, I couldn't wait any longer and harvested the heads off the plants. The lower buds still need some time. I will post some picture of the colas later this afternoon.

Here you go! Still drying in the dark. The temps of the room they are drying in range from 70-74 or so and low humidity. How long does it take for the green to go out of the stems?
Here are the three main colas:
And this is the big, fatty head off of #1
And the headless plants:
Once the harvested buds dry out I will get a weight and off into the curing jars. I went to walmart and totally stocked up. I bough a case of quart Kerr jars, and a couple other larger containers to try. I really want to get the cure down on this grow so will probably go with the kerr jars since they are tried and true. The only problem is the buds are too big for thte jars so I will have to break up my heads!
Oh well, bud is bud is bud. Thanks for checking out the update and following through the grow. Not much left and this thread will be done to retire in the archives.

I don't really know. I guess it depends on how much chopping their heads off stressed them. Probably another week or two.

As for this grow, it sure is coming to an end quickly. Here are some pictures of the plants. The fan leaves are rapidly yellowing and dying off. The buds have seems to stop swelling but I will give them another couple of days just to be sure. The leaves around the buds sure or frosting up nicely. Don't know if I will trim heavy and make hash or trim light and just have leafy buds.

I harvested the rest of the buds on Saturday and trimmed them all up. Dried them and they were put into Quart Mason Jars. From the three plants, I filled five mason jars, so another way to think about it is that I have 1.25 gallons of weed. No the curing process. As you may remember, I chopped the heads off earlier so they are a week ahead on the cure. They are just now starting to lose the mowed grass smell and a better flavor is starting to come out. I am curious what these buds will smell like when the cure is all said and done. I still have #4 finishing outside and it it looking great. Still a rich, dark green and not a sick leaf on the plant. Also the buds on it are quite large and feel pretty damn dense. I gave it its last feeding yesterday and will start the flush to harvest in a week or two. I have so much from the first three plants that I am in no hurry to harvest #4 so we will see. I will take some pictures at lunch to give ya'll an update! Peace and happy growing!

I don't know yet, too early to tell. I will weigh everything when the cure is done but like I said, I filled five quart jars, so my guess is at least a couple ounces a plant. Unfortunately the lower buds are kind of airy, which I assume is the 250 watt wasn't penetrating enough through the canopy.
