Shooting guns in populated areas.

Ugh... ever since the debate about gun control has heated up, my neighborhood has been become a playground for gun shooting it seems. Just now i can hear someone firing a pretty loud rifle, and its in fairly quick succession.

On top of it being stupid to fire guns in urban areas anyways, its causing everyones dogs to freak out and bark their heads off. Im seriously about to go nuts from it. if i dont throw on my subwoofer and all and jam away i can clearly hear the shots over just about everything in my house. which is crazy because a cop lives right on the same block, and an old lady next to me has a buncha cop relatives who constantly have their cruisers in her drive way. she just happens to be in the final stages of her life and no one is there now all of a sudden, convienient right?

Now im not the type of person who "calls the cops", in fact ive only done it a few times in my entire life. most were while at work. out of the times ive called from home, only once have the police even shown up which isnt uncommon around here. in fact they give the same BS treatment anytime u call 911. and sometimes you cant get thru... just like detroit.

The noise and such is totally pissing me off, and i certainly dont need any bullet holes in my property or pets. then i would most likely be on the news if u know what i mean.

Would you guys call the cops in this situation? especially considering i live in a very high crime area... (that could complicate things a number of ways)

and btw... think twice before shooting your stupid rifle, or even handgun, in an urban, populated enviroment. sh!t like that is what causes rediculous laws that have to cover "everyone's asses" and spend a ton of $$ on crap like shot detection technology, and wasted emergency response. thats one of the reasons im reluctant to call even... ugh.

You've managed to list two of my pet peeves: barking dogs, and subwoofers.

I conclude that the real problem is that noisiness has stopped being unacceptable. cn

I understand the complaint. its not so much the activity, more the lack of common sense & decency, a little respect for your fellow man goes a long ways. Bad behavior is bad behavior.

I think it's common sense for considerate people. I don't think mental health is a sufficient condition. You can be sane and still be a complete tool. cn

yes but does being a tool show signs of mental disease perhaps? lol.

yeah, im one of those people who gets funny looks in public because i take the time to hold doors open, say plz & thx, and show a little compassion when needed. also because i stand out due to the demographics of the area, lol.

looks like we are all headed back to the ways of the Vikings and primitive people.

btw that post that was interrupted by A. the jerk who posted. and B. those kids making all that horrible noise dragging a sled down a concrete hwy with a crappy loud go kart, was SUPPOSED to say that i never play my subwoofer loud enough to disturb my neighbors... ive had the pleasure of asking them over and over.

I sympathize with Smells in this instance. I am very sensitive to noise. I also believe in the inherent goodness of being a gentleman. cn

I always hold open doors and say yes ma'am and the such.

He just does not like my point of view like a lot of butt hurt folks on here.

And if you can hear your sub at your property line you cab bet your neighbor can also.

so... this guy above me is ignored. self explanitory and i cant see it and dont want to. anyways:

My girl works at a nearby gas station, and a woman came in freakin out, all pissed off to high hell. she was sick and tired of the ass who keeps shooting that crazy gun off over and over driving everyones dogs nearby nuts. this person shooting is obviously being a complete ass. go figure the whole neighborhood is complaining now.
i geuss the police havent found the person yet... or they dont care enough i geuss. whichever, its getting pretty bad.
i mean there was a sentencing in the news about the shooting of a 13 year old girl in flint, it was a stray supposedly. and it started a huge sh!tstorm of more retaliation. see what idiots with guns causes?? MILTON HALL <--- google that. Kayla Rolland <--- google that. Two of the worst tragedies ever caused by guns in this area. possibly in a large majority of the world. Milton was, shot 46 times or more by Saginaw police, a mentally ill man wielding a knife. Kayla Rolland is possibly the youngest known school shooting victim ever, about a mile from here, go figure.

bad people doing bad things... thats the bottom line no matter your opinion on neighbor-ly respect, or gun control. for real.

i obviously obey the code of common ethics between neighboors in a semi dense urban enviroment. I also have the pleasure of easily communicating with them. it wouldnt be like that in a place like this if you werent cool with your neighbors. i mean my next door neighbor is a 95+ year old woman with family always around and has a nephew who has his police cruiser over there all the time. the other side is next to a good size church. were not talking about " oh i went and smoked a doobie with joe blow next door and he said its cool if i rock my music so loud it shakes his house " :)

I thought it was illegal to shoot a gun in ANY residential area. If its a regular suburban housing track where houses are all right next to each other and this ass is just playing target practice then yeah fuck him, he could misfire into the air and have a bullet kill someone miles away. A few years ago some guy was shooting his rifle at coyotes and missed and it hit a little girl in the head walking to school. Bullets go past property lines.

I AM ALL FOR GUNS, I JUST DON'T SHOOT MY RIFLES OR HANDGUNS IN MY SUBURBAN BACKYARD LICK A HICK.

Edit: if your in Michigan though, by all means stockpile your guns and practice shooting in your backyard, those apes are crazy.
