Well best of luck with your future business. Things will never change, one will copy the other it's the nature of the beast. People have a choice and fighting about it on here will not do anyone any good. The fanboys really are not helping either. People do get sick listening to them and that drives potential customers elsewhere. All the best.

Copying definitely sucks but using our name in advertisements and our product name is to create brand confusion. You can't believe how many people contact uson warranty claims to only find out they bought a knock off. They go so far as to print our names on the boards..... Just kinda sucks to watch it go on honestly.

Yeah it sucks but really bugger all can be done about it these days, it's not on and I feel for you and others that get off their arse and try to get somewhere in life. In all honestly it's best to ignore it and stay of forums. I have been self employed all my life in advertising and design then photography business and it has it's own issues these days. Chin up and keep going forward.
Take it easy.

You can bash our company all you like. Doesn't mean you have the faintest idea of reality. We produce here in the US and pay 75% higher than the prevailing wage in our area. We use aluminium from American foundries to further help create and keeps good paying jobs in America. (Which costs us more.) We pay an effective tax rate of 35+%. The chinese pay no tax on goods sold. On top of that their government subsidizes electronic manufacturers up to 20% on total sale . So yeah they can sell it cheaper than I can. They can pay $2.00 an hour and produce it cheaper than I can. I doubt any of you would be happy with that wage but are happy to reap the rewards of such slave labor.

Go ahead and chastise HLG for doing what we consider the right thing. Sometimes doing the right thing is not easy but it doesn't change the fact that it is the right thing to do......

Good Day
Wasn’t personally bashing you guys. Just the fanboys. They get old.

You guys revolutionized lighting. I appreciate that.

Competition breeds more advancement.

I chose a cheaper option. Less warranty, more difficult customer exchange. Plus and minuses.

Good day and good luck!

Vietnam and we are pushing for Samsung to open a packing factory here in the US. Currently no one packages led in the states. One step at a time. Samsung's reactors are in South Korea.
Tianjin, China? There are numbers on the diodes package, you can find the manufacturer.

So new board (version 2) from HLG are stealed from Zeus board, which already exist.
And all cars in the world are stealed from first car - Benz velo.
Zeus? What's that's? I thought nextlight was the first to come out with smd pcb styles lights they have been doing it for like 10 years maybe more. Also hlg had a different company name for like the first year they were out. The only issue I see with copies is them stealing the name and lying about the diodes used.

i order a 240watt for flower and 120 wat for veg. Im in week 5 of flower. I can say they worth the price so far. Cost of using 3 fans, 1 inline fan and both lights and my a/c from time to time is like $30. i do run them around 3/4 of is full power.

What does copying breed?

Copying kills innovation period.

Personally, I hope Stephen and Robin protect their stuff in the future, so innovation can keep on going and the IP thieves can disappear
Diodes on a board, isnt copying. Just another light

Not trying to shortchange @Stephenj37826 or anyone else. Hopefully they made some cash before the copycats.

It is when you start calling those counterfeit boards "Quantum Boards" in order to dupe the masses and cash in off the success and hard work of others; The Quantum board design was original and unique to HLG.

What you are saying is akin to saying a counterfeit iPhone isn't a copy, it's just another phone. The difference is Apple has the IP protection and clout to shut down the counterfeiters, but yeah moving forward hopefully HLG has made enough to be able to protect their designs/ideas in the future.
