Shed to Grow Lab, Need Advice Pls!

Hello RIT, long time lurker here and finally got legal to grow in my state, looking for some advice. I have a 8x10x10 lean to shed built with 1/2 plywood sheets, 2x4's and steel siding/roof. Ultimately my goal is going to be insulated, painted and wired before first freeze. I'm planning on doing 5-10 plants scrog'd & top'd in dirt, so I figure 1x 1000 watt or 2x 600w with just reflectors. For ventilation I was thinking of doing a passive suction, where I would be just pumping air out through a carbon filter, not sure what size cfm or type of blower needed. My main concern is making the shed airtight and insulated. I live in the PNW where it can get mighty cold during the winter(10-30 degrees fahrenheit), so my first thought was spray foam insulation and kill two birds with one stone, but I am worried about costs, so should I just go styrofoam insulation or the foil bubble wrap stuff? Will the bubble wrap stuff cause hot spots and burn through plant, will those cheaper forms of insulating be enough? I also plan on running a small heater in the room as well. Any and all advice is appreciated, hope I posted this in the right spot, thanks RIT!

You can always paint flat white on top of whatever you insulate with. Flat white paint is actually a decent way to keep the lumens in the room and onto the plants.

I appreciate the fast replies! My concern with using fiberglass or the like is I would have to cover it with something for reflection. What would you recommend, basic mylar, the foil bubble warp stuff or thin plywood painted flat white? I am trying to keep costs down and get it done right the first time.

It's not fiberglass. Created from a unique combination of stone and recycled slag – a by-product of steel. Cover with vapor barrier first, then thin sheets of plywood painted flat white, mold resistant. The roxul also has sound dampening characteristics, and a host of other benefits.

Yeah I am trying to figure the plywood portion now, @ 3-5 bucks for a 24x46 sheet of 1/8 ply. i'll post some pictures tomorrow of what I am working with. Thanks again!

So I have decided to use the cheapest 24x whatever insulation I can get my hands on then covering with the cheapest plywood possible. I got half of the shed sealed with expanding foam. The next thing I was going to work on was covering up the eves between the sealing joists, i'm gonna rip a 4" piece off of the 1/2" ply I have and cut them to fit, then drill holes for ventilation. I was wondering too, what type/size of space I should leave between the ceiling and the insulation? Is there something I can buy that inserts then I can lay insulation in? Thanks again RIT!
